Mark Pack Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I have met Dr. Pack 2 times. He is very nice and seams to know a lot about this bypass surgery. He said he had been doing it for 12 years. His nurse Heidi is very nice also. He told me all about the surgery. The good and the bad. I haven't had my surgery yet so that is about all I can tell you.

Dr. Pack is very professional and very easy to talk to. His staff is also very nice as well as efficient. They have been very prompt in getting information to me as they get it. They scheduled all the tests for me so that I would miss a minimum of work. Also, they handled everything with the insurance company. I have talked to several people who have gone to Dr. Pack all liked him and are very satisfied with their surgery.

I met with my surgeon today, Dr. Mark Pack from Ashland, KY. He was absolutly great. He made me feel very comfortable, and explained everything so well. His staff was extraordinarly nice also. My first experience with my doc was great!!!!

I met with Dr. Pack and felt that he was very friendly. He didn't try to sway me either way about surgery. He described how he does the procedure and encourages his patients to wait 30 days to do extra research and get all of the pre op testing done. After 30 days if you still want the surgery he will set up a surgery date. His office staff were very friendly. He had emergency surgery so my appt. was delayed and they were very appologetic. He doesn't have much emphasis on aftercare. He gives you some pointers for the first few weeks and months, but basically leaves it up to you. I had a few questions about aftercare that I have learned through research, and he didn't seem to be aware of most. As far as the surgery itself I feel he is competent. I will keep researching and looking to other post ops for aftercare advice.

I was so nervous the first visit but he was very nice. He told me what to expect of the surgery and did not hesitate at all to answer any questions.
His office staff are wonderful. I have called numerous times about dates, tests and Hiedi has been patient with me. She told me the minute she finds out I have been approved she would call me and she did. I could tell she was as excited for me as I was.

wonderful, My impression changed for the better, he's even more wonderful..His office staff is the best. They celebrate every pound you lose! Future patients should know he really cares about the individual. Dr Pack made sure I knew all the risk associated with the roux en y surgery. Both surgical competence and bedside manner are wonderful

4-11-01 Well, I have finally made my mind up! I am going with Dr. Pack here in Ashland. He is in my ins. network. I have been to see him twice and he explained it the same way two other Dr.s has and he was very nice. All the necessary test have been ordered and then they will send it off for approval. I hope to have it done in June.
