I attended my first meeting with other staff members at Stanford Medical Center. Very friendly, Very Professional. I met with Dr. Lau and an intern for my first appointment. Again Friendly and Professional. rnSecond meeting was with Dr Morton. He is all doctor and all business. He was concerned with my ability to remember and wants a baseline neurology report. I said OK and we were finished. I have a very good impression of him even though I did not want to hear my surgery was postponed.rnStanford Medical staff are personable, Meg and Monica are always there with support and understand the unique needs of bariatric clients.rnI feel OK right now with the staff and with Dr Morton.

Dr. Morton has a very calm and relaxing presence about him. He is always willing to answer questions weather it be during an appointment or via email. I was very impressed with the pre-op procedures that Stanford has in place. He is very thorough in making sure your body is healthy enough to handle the surgery. rnMy results have been wonderful. I have never lost this much weight. I have learned so much about my self and my old eating habits. I have not had any complications. My procedure was smooth and my stay in the hospital was very effective. My parents (who were present at time of surgery) and I were extremely impressed with Dr. Morton's surgical team. Needless to say I was very nervous and his team was there to comfort me and put my worries at ease. rnI would recommend Dr. Morton to anyone. I did plenty of research prior to choosing a surgeon. Dr. Morton was by far the best choice.

Dr Morton to be a very caring man and I truly believe he believes in the program at Stanford. He gave me his personal email and told me to contact him with any questions or concerns I might have. I find his office staff to be very knowledgeable, but very busy with the amount of people trying to pursue this program. I believe he was very up front regarding the risks involved, but was very complete on the screening process to make sure you had a understanding of all involved. I was a bit disappointed I didn't see him after the surgery, but I did know his fellow doctors and they came to see me every day I was in th hospital. I give this doctor and the program a outstanding rating. I do find when it is time to go to the clinic, the wait is long due to the amount of patients they are trying to deal with. Please note: this is just my own personal experiences and comments. People need to make their own opinions and judgements regarding this program.

He was excellent and very professional.rnMy impression did not change and only became more impressed with Dr. Morton.rnThe office staff is great and try very hard to help you in any way possible. They are, however, obviously understaffed and it can be difficult to get a live person on the phone at times.rnThere was nothing I didn't like about Dr. Morton.rnYou should know that he is the best surgeon for this type of procedure and is affiliated with Stanford Hospital.rnHe actually starts your \"after care\" before the surgery and makes sure you understand how important it is for the rest of your life.rnThe clinic does have a very structured after care program and Dr. Morton continues seeing you as his patient after every year for the rest of your life even if you don't have insurance. If you don't have insurance, he will see you for the after care annually for free!rnThe risks were addressed by him and his resident thoroughly before at the pre op visit and also by the nurse in her pre op visit.rnOverall Dr. Morton is easily a 10 out of 10.rnHis surgical competence is not even in question, it is excellent, he has done over 700 GBS. His bedside manner is that of the true southern gentleman. The only negative thing I could say is that he is so busy that I don't get to see alot of him during my hospital stay. I may have seen him before the surgery, but I can't remember alot about that day.rn

He is an excellent educator to Bariatric patients and I found him to be a tremendous encourager to me during the process as well as post-op. He stresses aftercare and overall my experience with Dr. Morton has been excellent. His bedside manner was great and his competence is also very good. The only negative is that he is very busy and sometimes the staff are a bit overwhelmed.

Dr. Morton is a competent, caring professional. I never had any doubt that my surgery and resulting hospital care would be positive. I believe they are all commited to the patient's health and care. They were always available to provide answers to all of my questions before and after my surgery. (Sometimes I had to leave a message, but always rec'd prompt return calls) Obviously, they DO have other patients!!!! I'm 3 yrs. out, have had very few complications and truly believe the few problems I've had were caused by MY failure to adhere to a healthy diet (and chew well)!!!! I would refer my best friend to Dr. Morton and Stanford!!!!

Dr Morton is a wonderful, caring Doctor. His staff is great. I only wish I was a little closer to Stanford so I could go to the monthly support groups. I would highly recommend Dr Morton for anybody considering WLS surgery. My experience was great. Never had any complications.

Dr.Morton is knowledgeable, sensitive and you feel like he is 100% present when you talk to him. He has an excellent before and after surgery care program and all of his staff are helpful and concerned about your well being. He takes the time to answer questions as elaborately as you need to feel reassured about upcoming procedures. Dr. Morton was wonderful in the surgical arena as well as having a warm caring bedside manner. I didn't have a negative experience with Dr.Morton through the months before my surgery or after.
