I went to the group meeting recently, and in August I will be having my first appt with Dr. Weber.
At the meeting I got to meet Dr. Weber who seems like a very intelligent and competent surgeon. I was very impressed with him and my hubby was too. He spoke of the surgeries he does, RNY & VBG, and left us feeling well-informed and secure in the fact that we'll have no surprises when the time comes to have surgery. He actually spent more time talking about the bad things than the good, and it impressed me. It made me feel like its not just a meat market with him wanting to recruit patients. He seems very selective, and informed everyone of the raw truth more than anything else.
Pam was there to speak of the process concerning the packet, and insurance. She was very nice and informative.
I also met Edie, the nutrition lady. She told everyone strait out that we will all come to hate her, but she doesn't mind that one bit. She said no matter what time of day, she will have you walking about two hours after surgery!
All in all, I was very impressed and feel good with my choice of surgeon!

My first impression of Dr. Weber was a good one. I found him to be compassionate, friendly and funny. My impression continues to this date...just an overall nice man. The staff is efficient, very busy, which can feel a bit intimidating at times. But they are generally caring as well.

Dr. Weber's big thing IS after care...exercising, healthy eating habits and coming in for regular visits. It is very structured. He was very good about discussing the risks of surgery before I had it. I'd give him a 10 overall rating! =)

Went to Dr. Weber's in service meeting. He looks like someone who has never had a weight problem in his life. I was frustrated with all the "hoops" I was going to have to jump thru to get approved, but in retrospect am happy I went thru them.

Office staff gets the job done. Weber has a very structured aftercare program - expects you to do lots of exercise and has regular checkups.

So far so good.

I think Pam stinks she delayed my both my
surgeries by a month or two by not sending
the insurance company what they needed but
claimed she did. Love Lisa she is great.
I almost died so I will reserve the rest of
my comments.

I haven't formerly met Dr. Weber as yet but I will be meeting him on July 8th, 2002 afterwhich time I will post my comments.

I have read some very favourable reviews and am pleased to see the positive feedback provided.

I went to Dr. Weber's informational session which is required before you can even make an appointment to see him. He seemed very confident in his program working but only if "I" did the work. He is very strict about excersize! You must do it 7 days a week! also he is very firm on the fact that you MUST be on liquids only, for 8 weeks after surgery! he states this is because you need to give you new pouch time to heal and the staple line time to build up scar tissue so that there will be less incidences of staple line disruption. I feel that although he has some very specific rules that must be followed Dr. Weber is my best choice for this life "begining" surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Weber, was that I thought he was very confident and new what he was doing. He gave a FREE talk on the surgery, the risks, benefits, and different types of surgery. He had Pam there to answer insurance questions and his nurse to answer questions and also some post-op people. Dr. Weber will emphasize exercise a LOT, which I have found is the key to getting the wieght off. Dr. Weber's office is pretty laid back and I really liked that. You feel very welcome and like they all really care about you. Dr. Weber a competent surgeon and has a great beside manner...over all he is a first rate doctor..I would recommend him highly.
