Hello all, I had gastric sleeve done on 3/9/18 in Mexico by the one and only Dr A. My experience from the beginning to the end was 5 stars. Dr A and his team were all amazing. I elected to go to Mexico because I was self pay due to a low BMI. This was the best decision i could have made and I'm so happy that i went thru with it. Mexico was extremely beautiful and safe. We went shopping had a cherry icee and we even had a massage and facial at the endo spa the after surgery. Once I returned home the first week was a little tough but here i am 5 weeks out and i feel amazing. I hoping my husband decides to get the surgery so we can go to the new hospital and this time it will be my mini vacation. I had a great experience with Dr. Alvarez and his entire team in Mexico. I was self-pay so I elected to go to Mexico. I went alone and was a little worried about that at first. But once you are there, it is like you are with your extended family and everyone in the hospital (and other VSG patients) rally around you to make sure you don't feel alone. I had no issues at all; everything went as planned and scheduled and have had nothing but great help and support upon returning home. I was sleeved on March 7th and as of today (5 weeks out) have lost 32lbs! Happy to answer any questions about Dr. A or my experience!

Dr. A and his staff are amazing. I had my sleeve done 2/15/2018. This was the beat decision that I made for a healthier me. I am down 35lbs within 6 weeks. I have gone from an XL to a Medium.

Dr. Alvarez and all his staff were very professional, friendly and treated us like family. The hospital was very clean. I had no complications and NO regrets that I chose to go to Mexico and have my surgery by the BEST surgeon there is...THANK YOU Dr. Alvarez!!

Dr. A and his entire team were fantastic. They were very nice, compassionate and were very attentive. Being in Mexico was NOT scary at all, never gave it a second thought. The nurses were there to help when my clumsy self fell in the bathroom the day after surgery, and they and the doctor reassured me that my sleeve was ok. Follow-up since the surgery has been great, I'm a little over 1 month out and they send updates with emails. I have already recommended Dr. A to a couple of people.

I had VSG with Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras MX on 1/29/2018. I heard about Dr A from my sister’s friend. I had heard about VSG from a few distant acquaintances and was interested in a tool to help me on my weight loss journey. I am 50 year old female with hypothyroidism and had tried all sorts of diets with little success and then regain. I wanted to be healthy! After hearing about Dr A, I started researching everything I could about VSG and Dr A. I ordered and read all his books, as well as a few others. Felt in my heart I was in excellent hands and had made the right choice. Dr A and his team all the way down to his drivers are there to take excellent care of you. The hotel we were placed top notch and nursing staff were on site for any needs. I stayed one night in the hospital and my mom was able to stay right wme. I had the very best care. I experienced no pain, or nausea. The whole surgery team of doctors make rounds to check on the patients. Wonderful experience better than any I have had in the states had less pain with VSG than I had with a gallbladder I went back
to work in a week!hysterectomy that were both done laparoscopically. My carpal tunnel surgery hurt worse! His surgery coordinators are also there to help with any concerns or questions. I am 7 weeks post op and down 33 pounds and have loss 25 inches. I would recommend Dr A and this experience to anyone. Life changing!

I had surgery in Feb. from the moment i showed interested on knowing more info on VSG the Susan the coordinator was amazing and kept in touch. When i arrived at San Antonio Tx Rosy picked me up and at all times I always felt safe and comfortable driving into Mexico. Piedras negras is a cute little town that is quiet and safe everyone from the staff to the people of the town are wonderful, welcoming, and polite. Since the surgery I have felt great Im a month out and have lost almost 40lbs. I keep in touch Dr. Alvarez and staff and they are quickly to respond to any of my questions. Keep in mind that you will never be alone you will always have professional help every step of the way. If you are looking to get the sleeve you will not regret choosing Dr. Alvarez and Endobariatric team.

On 2/2/2018 I went to the Endobariatric hospital in Mexico. I admi that I was nervous but I made sure to do my research. Dr. Alvarez and his team/family were absolutely amazing and took very good care of me. Even now a month after my surgery I have reached out to them with questions and they have answered me rather quickly and friendly.

Dr. Alvarez is a very friendly person and doctor who exhibits complete professionalism. Dr. Alvarez has created (with his team) an extremely detailed process that flows very easily. He provides patients with every bit of specific information needed to travel to San Antonio/Mexico to have surgery. In addition to the written documents with information, Dr. Alvarez arranges personal contacts (nurse or patient coordinator) for each patient. All of the information he and his team provides prepared me very well. There were no surprises or additional costs; I knew what to expect. Everything they said and all that I read was exactly what I experienced. Dr. Alvarez and his team (as well as local people in Texas and Mexico) were extremely friendly and accommodating. They provided all that I (and my travel companion, my mother) needed. I truly feel like a part of Dr. Alvarez's team/family. The connection doesn't end after surgery or after leaving Mexico. Dr. Alvarez and his team remain available to me when I need them. I am very thankful that was able to meet and become a patient of Dr. Alvarez. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez and the Endobariatric Team to anyone who is considering the surgery of getting "Sleeved."

I was sleeved Jan 16, 2018 and Dr. Alvarez far exceeded all my expectations. He exudes excellence and is very passionate about his work. That passion flows through every staff member on his team and they all deliver nothing but the best! Dr. A (that is what us patients respectfully call him) creates for you the perfect sleeve through his skilled craftsmanship and provides you with all the education and resources necessary to be successful upon your return home. My surgery was only seven weeks ago and I am already reaping amazing benefits from this life changing experience. The hospital was very clean with comfortable accommodations. What is exciting is that Dr. A is building his own hospital. I got a glimpse of it while I was there last month and I must say it looks pretty amazing!!! Dr. A is also very active on social media. I have 14 year old twins who stayed in the States while I went to Mexico and through social media they got to experience glimpses of the surgery with me. They thought that was pretty awesome!!! Do your research online as I did and you will not be disappointed!!! It is worth the trip. I had so much fun I plan on returning to visit!!!
