My healthcare insurance does pay for bariatric surgery, but is a 6 to 8 month process, with multiple consultations and extra procedures I felt unnecessary. This process, would have, I believe, cost about the same or more, than paying for the surgery myself. After finding Dr. Alvarez and the “A Team”, I am extremely happy and positive I made the correct decision. They are AMAZING! From first contact with Brandi to leaving the exceptional Endohospital, I could not have received better care (even in the States). Every doctor (surgeon, Assistant surgeon, and Anesthesiologist) visited me each day to check on my recovery. Every staff member is bilingual and was very attentive to my needs/questions. I still have 25 pounds to go, but feel amazing, thanks to the skill and care given at Endobariatric! Thank you so much for giving me my life back!

Absolutely amazing. I had no bariatric insurance coverage and started the process of looking at medical tourism. Yes, he is double the cost of others - and worth double that. Absolutely amazing experience and facility. Amazing nurses and staff. I never felt ignored or like a bother. Was up and walking the next morning and had a massage to help with gas pain. They were all wonderful and caring and helpful - even to my dad who went with me. If I had to find one thing I wasn’t a fan of, (and this is looking really hard to try and find something), it would be the hotel in San Antonio. It had been damaged in the flood prior and was just kind of gross. The room was ok but bathroom was disgusting. My dad and I both said it was awful after having been at Endo in Mexico. I was late being picked up by the hotel from the airport. Other than that, I would do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat. I know if I need anything or have any questions, I can reach out to my coordinator any time or to Dr Alvarez. Absolutely wonderful and life changing experience.

By far one of the best experiences i have ever had. All the staff was incredibly prepared, friendly and helpful. Dr Alvarez answered all my questions and helped ease my anxiety before surgery. Surgery went very smooth and i will recommend this to all my family and friends.

My surgery was 5/17/21 . I did a lot of research before choosing a dr . I am so happy I chose Dr Alverez and his staff . From day one , of asking questions , up until the day of and even after the surgery , this team has been amazing . I would do it a thousand more times with Dr A . I was so nervous . He made me feel comfortable and let me know he would take good care of me every step of the way. I was also nervous about leaving the states to have surgery. Never once did I feel scared or uncomfortable. It was a great journey that I would recommend to anyone. Dr A and his staff are true blessings to so many .

I am an RN in the United States. I have never seen such awesome medical care in the United States. Everyone from the receptionists, nurses, and doctors were extremely caring and professional. I never felt unsafe during the entire process. It was my
first time out of the country and I came by myself. I highly recommend endo bariatric to anyone.

Completely blown away by my experience. I'm a physician and did a ton of research before choosing who I would trust operating on me. I kept coming back to Dr Alvarez. His experience, depth of knowledge, and so many patient recommendations really made me feel like he was the best surgeon. I watched so many of his informative YouTube videos and that solidified my choice.
From the moment I arrived at their beautiful facility, any presurgery jitters were calmed. The staff is above and beyond anything I've seen or worked with in the US as a travel hospital doctor. The rooms are very large, fully equipped, and beautiful. The nursing staff was so responsive, coming to check within 2 minutes of hitting the call light.
That's not to mention the man himself, Dr A. He has the surgery down to an art. His masterful team of surgeons and physicians have you in the OR for such a short amount of time. I had very minimal pain and no complications from the surgery. Any questions I have had since the surgery, he gets back to me faster than any doctor I've ever had.
If I could choose for him to be my doctor in all things, I would.

I had my VSG on 3/15/2021. I could not have had a better team than Dr Alvaraz and his group. From the housekeeping to the nursing, they were the best. I choose Dr. Alvarez because he is the best surgeon I know in the baractric world. I was taken care of like family. The care was beyond 5 stars, 10 stars would not be enough. I have been a nurse this year 37 yrs. I have never seen or received the excellent care that I did at the Endo Hospital. Because I am a nurse I checked Dr Alvaraz and his team out throughly before surgery. Let me tell you it is all postive. If you are worried about going to Mexico for surgery don't worry with Dr Alvaraz and his team. You will be cared for better than family. My surgery was a more complicated one. That is why I choose Dr Alvarez and his team. Thank you to Dr. Alvarez and his team for all that they did for me , A successful surgery that I truly don't believe any other physician could have done. A special thank you to Yullia Nino and Mario Hernandez both fantastic nurses that did more than care for me they listened to an old nurse with her crazy stories. Thank you to all !!!!!

I was tired of being tired, and was ready for a change. After much research I decided to put my faith in Dr.A. Best decision I could have made. I was impressed from the moment I arrived to the Endobariatric Center. They had all the details down to a T. Three month’s post op now and the inly regret i have is not doing it sooner.

It was much simpler than I thought. Dr. Alvarez is a true professional and I would recommend him and his staff to anyone considering this surgery. There were several people that brought love ones with them to have the surgery because they had such great results! Thank you Dr. Alvarez!!

This was the best surgical experience. Dr. Alvarez and his entire team at Endobariatric were a truly well trained group. They treat everyone with kindness and are very helpful and supportive as I believe most people are a little nervous about this experience. I remember I saw a lady who was just getting in the van heading to her Endobariatric experience. She was so nervous and tearing.... I walk right up to her and reassured her this would be one of the easiest experiences and talked a little bit more about the wonderful staff at Endobariatric. She was so relieved.
