George Ferzli Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

When I met Doctor Ferzli, I found him to be caring, knowledgeable and informative. He put me at ease during the entire process. The office staff, also, has been extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. There's great emphasis on aftercare. all risks of surgery were carefully reviewed with me. I'd give the entire program a high rating based on information and care provided to me.

On February 5th, I had lap band surgery. I had mixed emotions at first. I was anxious and nervous. On the day of the surgery, Doctor Ferzli smiled at me and touched my forehead. That in itself, made me feel very relaxed. Doctor Ferzli and his staff always made me feel at ease. They emphasized that if you are compliant things would be fine. The whole process was very informative and life changing.

Dr. Ferzli and his staff are extraordinary. I had my lapband placed on 1/17/11 and everyone was top notch.

Dr. Ferzli is a wonderfully skilled surgeon. He took very good care of me for my gastric bypass and follow-up. If anyone is considering having the surgery, please contact him. He is professional and has a very good reputation. I was very happy he was my surgeon and was not stressed at all before the surgery because I believed in his skills. I made the right choice and am very happy with him and the results of the surgery.

I just want to start out saying that my experience with Dr. Ferzli and his staff was the most positive and rewarding experience that I have had with a doctor. I was extremely happy with Dr. Ferzli. Dr. Ferzli, along with the Bariatric Coordinator, Karen and the nutritionists all made me feel very comfortable and very at ease about the whole process. Karen was very nice and very professional. Karen was very helpful and was always there when I needed her, whether it was to just ask a question or help out with getting my test results and clearances.. Dr. Ferzli is a very professional and caring doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who would want to have Bariatric surgery or any surgery they might need. The office staff was very friendly and helpful . Even on the morning of the surgery, Dr. Ferzli came in to see me before and put any nerves I might have had at ease. Through the whole experience Dr. Ferzli explained everything so that I could understand and be comfortable. I found that if you follow all the instructions that Dr. Ferzli, Karen and the nutritionist gave, especially the diet that is given for the 2 weeks before surgery, it will be the most rewarding and positive experience. It was for me!! Dr. Ferzli and the entire Bariatric team stress the improtance of after care and I must say that I am extremely impressed with the care that I have been receiving post-op!!!!!!!! I feel it was a positive experience because of Dr. Ferzli and his staff. Thank you Dr. Ferzli!!!!!!!

Comfortable,reassured and welcomed is how I felt during my first meeting with Dr. Ferzli. What I liked best about Dr. Ferzli is that he is extremely knowledgeable and very experienced! His attentiveness,sensitivity and supportive nature was evident throughout my appointment and I knew right away I was in good hands. Upon meeting with the Program Coordinator,Karen Sander, I again was extremely impressed. Karen knows the program inside and out and is very detail oriented and non-judgemental. Lisa Lobel the nutritionist is very knowledgeable and explained the diet and vitamin supplements in full detail. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I had Lap Band Surgery Dec-2010 and I have been very successful with my weight loss!!!! I am pleased with the aftercare program I am being closely monitored by the entire team!! Between Dr. Ferzli and his "Right hand person",Karen, I am confident that they will continue to provide me with the best medical treatment possible!!!! I would rate this program EXCELLENT !!!!!!! And would recommend Dr. Ferzli to everyone !!!!!!!

My first impression of Dr. Ferzli was that he was an Angel sent from God and I felt extremely comfortable. I would describe Dr. Ferzli as a intelligent and competent doctor that is extremely sensitive to the needs of his patients. What I liked best about Dr. Ferzli was that he not only explained the surgery in detail but he stressed the importance of after care, and gave me insight of how my new beginnings would be.Karen the Program Coordinator is extremely intelligent and knows the program inside and out! She is very understanding,caring and compassionate. Being that English is my second language Karen was extremely patient with me and helped me understand all the requirements. She was always in contact with me and would call all my doctors for test results and clearances. Even though there was alot of work to do before I signed consent, Karen made it a pleasurable experience for me!!! Lisa Lobel the nutritionist was very helpful and helped me with the diet before and after the surgery. She is very caring and patient. Dr. Mahoney made me feel extremely confident and comfortable making this lifestyle change. The after care program is wonderful I am closely monitored by the entire team and have been very successful losing weight!!! I would rate this program on a scale of 1-10 way above "10"!! I would recommend Dr. Ferzli and his team to EVERYONE!!!!!!!! I am thrilled that my experience was a COMPLETE SUCESS!!! Thank you!!!

What a great Doctor, His staff and the Hospital staff were the best. Each person on his team is very kind and helpful. I would recomend Dr Ferzli to anyone.

GREAT DR.,VERY CAREING.I FELT THAT I WAS IN GOOD HANDS WITH DR.FERZLI.HE AND ALL HIS STAFF BOTH IN THE OFFICE AND HOSPITAL WERE VERY SUPPORTIVE.TRUST IN YOUR DR.IS A MUST AND I HAVE ALOT OF TRUST IN DR.FERZLI.ANYBODY THAT NEED SURGERY.HE IS THE MAIN MAN

My first impression was that he was very well spoken and put togetherman. My surgeon was very knowledgeable and offered great advice. I loved the office. I would want to let other patients know that you may be in the hospital longer than expected and that it hurts. The program does offer aftercare but there should be more post op psychological support in the hospital, this is a huge mental change and as ready as you think you are nothing will prepare you for the gas pain and the mental stress of not eating or drinking for several days. I would rate my surgeon a 10+++. I feel that the program is great, the doctors staff treat you so good and never judge you because of your weight. I feel this is a great program it has given me hope at a new life,When I didn't think anything else would. I feel there needs to be more post op support in the hospital. You are extremely emotional from the changes that just happened to your body and you may need to identify with others in the hospital who are going through the same thing. The post op gas is a killer.
