Frank Veninga Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

Upon the first meeting with Dr.Veninga, I felt like he was one of those Doctors that I would feel comfortable having him perform any surgery on me.
His 'bedside' manner was very outgoing and he spent as much time with me as I wanted. He displayed a great amount of professionalism and I would reccommend him to anyone.

Barbara, his nurse, is simply outstanding. She treated us like a family member from the initial visit.

He was the best choice I could have made!

Dr. Veninga is in my opinion a very good doctor. His bed side manner is excellent and he genuinly cares about his patients and thier well being. During my experience I cannot say that my opinion of Dr. Veninga has changed. I still like the guy and his professionalism.

Dr. Veningas staff is also very supportive and do their jobs well. They will answer any questions you have and take the time to ensure your satisfied with the answers.

Dr. Veninga takes a safe route to this procedure which I feel reduced the amount of after effects I could have suffered. Also, I was able to jump start my weight loss and mentally prepare myself, because I was actually experiencing much of the emotions before hand. The liquid diet helped to flush out my system and because of that I had less gas and pain from the procedure. The safe route is indeed the best route to take and Dr. Veninga practices this approach with all his patients.

Overall I would rate Dr. Veninga as one of the best doing the Lap Band procedure today.

Dr V is very caring and has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have ever went to. He is very honest, thorough, and really considers the patient as an individual. He makes himself available to patients day and night (which is great if a fill isn't going so well) and is willing to go to bat for his patients. In my case the hospital almost raised the flat rate for Lap Band 2 weeks before surgery. Dr V was quick to come to my aid and meet with the CFO of the hospital on my behalf. He really makes patients aware of the risks of surgery (both before and after), however, he talks about benefits as well. His staff is incredible. It doesn't matter if it is the 1st time or the 50th time you call, they are always wonderful. His nurse Barbara is wonderful and really enjoys patients. I would rate Dr V and his staff 20 out of 10 stars!!!!!!!

Great Doctor, excellent bedside manners. Office staff was second to none. Honest, great aftercare program and support groups. I would recommend anyone looking into having this procedure to contact Dr. V.

I love Dr. Vininga. He takes a lot of time to explain the procedure. He is more than willing to answer any questions you have. His office staff is awesome!

I found in Dr. Veninga, not only a good Physician/Surgeon, but, also a good human being. He has a very good office-Staff, always eager to answer the questions I had. On my first visit, Dr. Frank Veninga explained to me in detail about the RNY surgery, including the risks involved. He also has a Clinical-Nutritionist, Ms.Roz Burnham in his office, who walked me thru the Dietery-Protocol, I have to follow after the Surgery.

I loved my surgeon. He had the best attitude and he nurse Barbara. You could not ask for a better person. I would so recommend this office. I received my approval letter within 2 days.

My first impression of Dr. Veninga is that he is very nice. He took a lot time to explain the procedure and even used a little humor. I felt I was very informed by the time I left my first visit.

I have only seen him once so I don't really have another impression at this time.

His office staff is wonderful. Barbara is always there to answer questions and she has always made me feel comfortable.

I feel Dr. Veninga has prepared me very well for this procedure. He explained the risks and benefits equally. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends.

My first contact with Dr. F. Veninga's office was over the phone. Everyone was very friendly. Though after I submited medical records and patient info packet they did seem a little slow about getting it off to my insurance company. I'm going assume it was because of the holidays. After the approval everything moved pretty fast. When I met the staff face to face they were very warm and friendly. Dr. Veninga was straight forward, comical, very knowledgable and expressed his opinions in reference to WLS. I would most definitely refer to anyone considering WLS.

Dr. Veninga is a very wonderful man who cares greatly about his patients. I have never had a better doctor in my life. He cares about you while taking exellent care of his patients. He also is very understanding when it comes to your family. He has always gone over my care with my husband so that he knew the best possible way to care for me at home. His office staff is wonderful. Barbara will go out of her way to go over anything with you and when you call not feeling well she helps you get through it. I would recommend this doctor to everyone who is considering WLS. He may not be the closes doctor to you but he is definatly the BEST !!!!
