Frank Veninga Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

My surgeon is really smart and really funny at the same time. He put me at ease from the first time I saw him. He took about 30 minutes to just talk to me about stuff. I think he is great and I recommend him whole heartedly.

I just wanted to let folks know about how wonderful Dr. Veninga and his staff are. I had my LapBand procedure on 2/6/06, and I am doing great. Why? I have had awesome aftercare. Dr. Veninga will talk with you, joke with you, and answer your questions so you can understand. His staff are SO patient and kind. They are always willing to help you with your band related issues. This Dr. and his staff have been so good for me. I am a self pay person, so I had my choice of any surgeon I wanted, and I chose Dr. Veninga and his staff to help me get my weight reduced, my health back, and self esteem boosted. Thank you guys.

Dr. Veninga was just great! He really spent a lot of time going through everything with me and addressed any concerns I had. His nurse Barbara was wonderful and got my paper work out quickly to the insurance company which was then approved in one day! They do have a very good aftercare program and even have events where he actually comes an walks with everyone. Everyone in the office is really caring and there to help. Overall he is a 20 out of 10!

Dr. Veninga knows what he is talking about. He likes to talk and tell you everything you wanted to know about weight loss surgery but "were afraid to ask".rnrnThe office staff is cool to the nth degree. They are such positive people. I couldn't help but feel really positive too.rn*rn09-01-2005rnrnA very good doctor. He pays attention. He saw me everyday sometimes 2x per day while I was in the hospital. Good bedside manner. Very good personality and attention in the office. Very busy but listens to the complaints.

My pre-op consultation lasted 2 hours. Dr. Veninga looked over my family history and everything you could think of. I had a list of prepared questions and by the end of the consultation he had answered them before I could even ask. He was very clear about complications and risks and emphasized both. I think he is an excellent doctor and would recommend him to anyone who is looking to have the LAP-BAND surgery. His office staff was extremely helpful in getting information to the insurance company in order to get approval. He maintains an after care program but it's too far for me to drive so I go to one in my area. I couldn't ask for an easier

I truly enjoy Dr. Veninga! He is caring and explains everything so that you can understand. His office staff is also wonderful. I felt that the nutricianist could have been a little more helpful and now that I am post op, I feel I need more support in that area. Barbara, his nurse, always returns phone calls in a timely manner and reassures you about concerns. He spent quite a bit of time after surgery talking to my husband and letting him know what to expect immediately post-op and in the future. He sponsors aftercare programs, First Sat. Walk in the Park where he participates and talks with patients. I am generally pleased with Dr. V and his staff.

My first impression of Dr. Veninga is that he is friendly, intelligent and thorough. His office staff have all been extremely kind and I highly recommend this surgeon and this office based on my experience so far. Barbara (nurse)is wonderful and caring.
The consultation was thorough. Watched a video of procedure, received alot of paperwork about the risks and benefits of different types of surgeries, checked BMI, tested for H pylori, talked with Dr. and given referrals for dietician and psychologist. Barbara even showed me the band and let me "fill" it just to get a real sense of what it feels and looks like. There was no feeling of being rushed through and all questions were answered thoroughly. I am really excited to fulfill the rest of my requirements (dietician and psychologist) and get the procedure done!

He is fabulous! He has a wealth of knowledge and a surgeon with a great personality and bedside manner. He is careful and understanding. I'm very very happy I chose him and would recommend Dr. Veninga to everyone. His staff is very good too!

In my opinion, Dr. Veninga is a wonderful dr. He is kind and makes sure you know everything you are getting into beforehand. I would recommend him to anyone!!!
