Dr. Miller seemed pleasant enough. But to tell you the truth even IF he was the biggest flake in the world I wouldn't care. As long as he has skills! - and HE DOES!does.
One interesting thing about how he preforms the surgery is: He sews the stitches as well as using staples. The reason for this = he says it is less likely to stretch.
Also, he explained the opening would be as wide as the end of his pinkie. The pouch will be the size of a golf ball.
The visit was so quick that I do not have much to say about his bedside manner. I have to meet him again one more time (After my insurance pre-certifies and pre-op).
One negative thing is he did not know how to handle my hypoglycemia I developed post op. Nor did Bartlett nursing staff. The dietician was out of town. Maybe had she been present it would not have been so painful for me. That dumping was the worst. They had me drinking straight juice -not even watered down.
Dr. Miller is now located in Juneau Alaska. He is a very busy man and it is often times hard to get your appointment at the time or even the day scheduled. However, he is very honest and up front about what to expect in the surgery. He doesn't pull any punches and is very direct. He comes right to the point and is a wonderful doctor. I would recommend him without reservation.rnrnIn addition, his assistant Rose is absolutely wonderful. She handled all of my insurance needs and was always there when I needed someone to answer my questions.
Dr. David Miller now resides in Juneau Alaska.
I trust Dr. Miller, we have spoken frankly about my surgery. His staff is very professional.
I would refer my friends to Dr. Miller at any time.
Dr. Miller emphasizes aftercare is a must, a priority.
I have meetings for aftercare
Dr. Miller is honest about the risk, I totally understand him.
Over all, Dr. Miller has all the professionalism and a human being with a heart!
Dr. Miller is now in Juneau next to Bartlett Hospital. He is wonderful and a super surgeon. His nurse Rose is also wondeful and all the others at the front desk. I am very picky who sees my naked fatness, but he struck me as a caring kind gentle doctor. He did a super job and I healed well. I owe him for my new found life that I got back from his skills.
Dr. Miller was the best! He was sincere, caring and honest. He told me what my risks were up front and also told me my risks down the road if I continued to gain weight and do nothing about it. He spoke with my family members and my friends during the thought process and explained to them what happens during and after the surgery. Not once did I feel like he didn't care. To this day he knows my name when he sees me and compliments me on my weight loss. His staff is exceptional. They encourage me to call with any questions and are very helpful. I would have to say that he was an amazing surgeon and I believe that he saved my life.
I havent been to Dr. Todd,I have switched doctors to Dr David Miller,
Dr Miller has been located in Juneau Alaska for about 20 months now... (nov 03)
I was so happy to find him there, it is close to home for me, compared to other surgery sites.
Dr Miller is a wonderful doctor, but SOOOO busy, I met him in Oct of 02, and seeing him then and then before and after surgery, I have NOT seen very much of him, simply because he is so busy, but he does make sure things are working for you as planned and expected. Dr Miller is a wonderful doctor, HE SAVED MY LIFE!!
He is actually in Juneau and I thought he was very kind. I kept trying to ask him all kinds of questions and he told me we would have a sit down meeting later on. So, I continue to bug his staff who are very kind and if they don't know the answers to my millions of questions they find out. I do try to research before I ask though. Ill let you know more when i find out more about him... How he is with all this, etc.
