My wife has used Dr. Dyas on two previous surgeries and I was impressed with both his competence and bedside manner. When Pamela and I started discussing WLS it was automaticly assumed that if Dr. Dyas performed this type surgery, he would be our first choice. On my first visit, he describe the surgery and risks. He requires all of his WLS patients to go for a psychological evaluation. He wants to be sure his patients understand that WLS is a tool not a quick fix.
I am 12 weeks and my wife is 8 weeks post-op and we both feel our choice of a surgeon was the right one. His post op care has been fantastic. We have sent him 3 new patients and will continue to recommend Dr. Dyas to anyone that asks.

I was originally seeing Dr. Jeffery Hannon. However, I felt the need to get a second opion and I went to see Dr. Dyas. I have to say I was very impressed with Dr. Dyas, he answered every question and was very patient. He requires a two week menu of everything that goes in my mouth and I have to see a physcologist. I highly recommend Dr. Dyas to anyone who is seeking the WLS surgery.

ON MY CONSULT VISIT HE WAS SO INFORMATIVE BUT ALSO STATED THE NEGATIVES OF THE SURGERY. I FEEL HE IS VERY HONEST IN HIS OPINIONS AND TELLS IT LIKE IT REALY IS. WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT NOT AND IS VERY UP FRONT ABOUT THE RISKS.
I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE CARE I RECEIVED AND WOULD REFER HIM TO ANYONE IN THE AREA LOOKING FOR A SURGEON.
SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT LOOK AT THE HONESTY THEY WAY I DID AND HE MAY EVEN SOUND A LITTLE HARSH IN EXPLAINING THE SITUATION BUT IT IS BECAUSE HE CARES WHAT HAPPENS TO HIS PATIENTS AND REALLY WANTS YOU TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING INTO. OVERALL HE GETS 5 STARS!!!
I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY CHOICES!!!!!!!!!!

My first impression of Dr. Dyas was that he was very professional, compassionate, and that he would spend whatever time was necessary on my case.

My impressions of Dr. Dyas were enhanced as I visited in his office over the next 2 months.

His office staff are courteous, professional, likable, and knowledgeable.

least liked: nothing

Future patients should know that Dr. Dyas does not recommend WLS surgery for everyone. He has a sterling reputation amongst his patients. I know several. He is meticulous, and requires that of his staff. Insurance companies do not scare him when he determines that a procedure is MEDICALLY NECESSARY.

We have not talked much about aftercare yet.

Dr. Dyas is up front about the risks of surgery. While he is very nice, he is blunt about the risks and the rewards.

I am scared of Dr.s, medicine, hospitals, etc. Overall, he is rated as one of the best. Very comfortable to talk to.

surgical competence is better and his reputation precedes him. Bedside manner is nice for people like me (scared!) but not necessary when it comes to my life.

Dr. Dyas appears to be conservative in all areas of surgery. This might be tiring to some people. I say better safe than sorry. These are my impressions only, anyone comtemplating WLS surgery should decide for themselves.
