"My first impression of Dr. Strodel was that he was very warm and personable, and he took his time answering my questions, not making me feel like I was taking up his time. My impression of him only got better as time went on, he's an excellent Doctor! His staff is very professional, yet very personable as well. His nurse Toni Filer is an angel! I really liked her. There was nothing I didn't like about Dr. Strodel and his staff. Future patients should know that he is a wonderful, very professional, extremely capable surgeon, who does an AMAZING job closing an incision!!!! No staples, but he takes his time closing you himself! My incision scar is thin and flat, beautiful really, as scars go. Dr. Strodel and his staff are very thorough about the aftercare of patients. Just follow all the rules to the T. The aftercare program involves not only Dr. Strodel, but other very capable Doctors and Nutritionists as well. Dr. Strodel addressed the risk of surgery very honestly and I felt very informed and very well taken care of. If I had to recommend a Bariatric Sergeon and Hospital, it would be Dr. Strodel at Geisinger Medical Center. In my opinion he is the best at what he does and Geisinger is one of the top Hospitals in the country. Surgical competence is most important, but having a Surgeon who has an excellent bedside manner makes a huge difference in the entire program and your total experience, before and after surgery. "
