Hi...my name is Sandi and I live in Northern PA. I'm 44 and I weigh in at 452 lbs. Good news is, I have finally decided to have gastric bypass surgery.
Should have done it a lot sooner, but I suffered from the old "I can lose it on my own" syndrome. Ok, some can lose it on their own, I on the other hand, am not able to. I've been on every diet known to man or woman and I've always lost, but always gained it back plus a lil extra!
I have high blood pressure, type ll diabetes, neuropathy, sleep apnea, etc., etc. I've been on the fence about this surgery for a long time, but just recently got a huge wake up call when I was hospitalized for heart issues.
Nothin like a good scare to push you off off the fence. I realized that I wanted to see my kids have kids, and wanted to know what life is like being a healthy, thinner woman. I want to see things beyond my living room, ya know what I mean.

So, here I am, hoping to connect with others who have had it done or are considering having it done.
I'm scared, yet very excited and can't wait to be able to share my success story with others.
Take care everyone...
