"I am very pleased with Dr. Bertel. He is very honest and pulls no punches. He told me the risks, but also was positive. He did a wonderful surgery!! I had NO pain, I never had to push the medication button.I I am almost four months post op. and I feel very good. I DO NOT weigh myself, I will be weighed again in Sept. I feel his surgical competence is excellent....and that means more than anything to me. I will continue after care forever. The hospital stay was so-so. Felt cramped in my room...I shared with another patient....and not a WLS patient. "
