I am 3 weeks and 4 days pre-op, been trying to have this surgery since Feb 2012 and here is it Nov 2012. My surgery date is Dec 14, 2012. I am 36 years old, 5'9", TEXAS born and raised and currently weight 350 lbs 
. i have always been the big girl, but has never really bothered me. i really gained weight after going through fertility for 4 years. I was diagnosis in 2002 with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, have been suffering with it ever since. The main purpose for having this surgery is that there is a 50/50 chance that losing this weight will put my chronic illness into remission or at least slow it down some. I had my overweight most embarrassing moment back in August 2012 when we went to a Texas Rangers game and have AWESOME sits but i couldn't fit in them... I have never been more ashamed of myself than at that moment, mainly because i don't see myself the size that i am. I know that having this surgery will change my life and I am so looking forward to the new chapter in my life. I am just ready for it to be here already
