I'm fast approaching 40 and am sick of being overweight...excercise and diet haven't worked! I have had 2 friends that introduced me to WLS as they have had surgeries this year with Dr. Kam @ Barix. They highly recommended him, but due to his leaving the clinic in Nov-Dec, I have chosen to go with Dr. Poplawski as my Surgeon.
I am going to a group consult on Sept 6th...then to my family Dr. on Sept, 18th. I feel very nervous about my appointment with my GP, as I'm not sure if he'll support me! Hopefully he'll surprise me, sign the OHIP form and then OHIP will quickly approve me!
My husband and 13 year old daughter are my big supporters at this time! Still haven't discussed with my parents...not sure what the reaction will be!
Here's hoping I end up a loser!
