"I actually had two surgeries pretty close together. What the others are saying about the nursing staff of the bariatrics floor is very true. There are only a few good ones who make you feel like they actually care about you. The night staff was the worst, you could lay there and die and it would take hours for someone to come and help you. It was the worst care I had received and their response time was horrible. Maybe other parts of the hospital would be different but on that floor there really needs to be a lot of improvement made in the way the nurses treat their patients. Jill was a very good nurse, only because she was one of my best friend's sister and she knew me from a long time ago."
"I attended a seminar in Portsmouth with Dr. Wheeler. My first impression of him was that he was very informative about what he does. He appeared to be very smart and knew his stuff. I did feel that he was straight forward and to the point. No sugar coating from him, just the facts. As I got to know him a little better, I found that he is a very smart and caring doctor. He is very good at what he does and he has been very sincere to me during this process. I feel that he is always trying to help and make things go better during this process. All of his staff are really great and they have been very helpful to me during my visits to there. People need to know what kind of doctor, Dr. Wheeler is. He is caring and genuinely is concerned for all of his patients. He will answer any questions that you may have for him at any time. He makes you feel comfortable to talk with him about your concerns or if you want to ask him something. Aftercare at his office is very important in this process of your surgery. When I started on this journey, I received alot of information about the surgery and the risks that are involved in each type. Overall, I would rate Dr. Wheeler a BIG 10!!!!! He is wonderful and I want to recommend him to everyone!!! I feel that surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. This decision is a life changing decision and I sure would not want someone who did not know their stuff and were not sincerely concerned for your well-being and health to be my doctor and that is why I chose Dr. Wheeler because he is very surgically competent and his bedside manner is the best!!!!!!!!
