My name is Stephanie and I am 26. I have been around for awhile just never really could decide what I wanted to do. I have always been on the heavier side just been a healthy "fat" person the only wrong was my weight. I have been married for 5 years and we have a 4 yr old son and a 22 month old daughter. I am normally pretty active walking a lot just cant seem to get the eating and weight under control for an extended period of time. I am a CNA and a Full time Nursing Student working on my RN.
February 2012 of this year my daughter got sick was told just teeth, then she developed ear infections, and all the while running a fever of 101 or higher. March she started barely moving, not wanting to play just wanted to lay on the couch, could barely walk, then she started getting some very odd illnesses thrush then bulleous impetigo, while still have a double ear infection and running a fever.
One March day I noticed she was looking very ill and her skin color was pale and she almost looked like this was the end, so I took her in for some labs and come to find out her Hemoglobin levels were only 3.1 we were rushed to the children's hospital. After a week stay we found out that she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has been in treatment since April 1, 2012.
That day changed my life forever and I have learned that life is precious and I want to be able to be there for both my kids for as long as I am here and they are here cause you never know when it will be the time to go.
So here I am to begin my weighloss journey not only for myself but for my family.
