The scale is just toying with me now...
Jul 05, 2007
Well...I'm almost to ONEDERLAND! ALMOST! For a week I have endured virtual torture as that stupid scale jumps back and forth from 199.8 to 200.something then settles on exactly 200 lbs every day! Darn it!
But you know, 106 pounds gone ain't so bad. Best of all, I did a bit of shopping this past weekend and I'm officially out of the "FAT" store. I can comfortably wear a Misses 18 and, in some cases, even an 16. Oh how sweet it is!!!!

6 Month Report - Saying Goodbye to 80 pounds!!
Apr 04, 2007
At six months I had hoped for more, but 80 pounds is 80 pounds gone for good. My husband has lost nearly 70 pounds in 3 months. Men are the devil, aren't they? But between us, we've lost a person.
I finally bought some new clothes, which was very rewarding. Only 1 more size to go until I'm out of the fat section altogether. Geez, that feels good to say.
Life after the Holidays...

I'm pretty mad at myself at the moment. I only manged to lose 5 pounds in December. I'm down 55 pounds since surgery in September, which is not that impressive. I've been far too casual about discipling myself to eat properly. My husband has his surgery on Dec 14th and has already lost 23 pounds (isn't that just like a man!)
I'm happy for him, for both of us, actually. I suppose I realize more than ever how it's up to me to change my lifestyle completely. The old habits are hard to kill and I've been depending too much on the surgery. I've heard several stories over the past weeks of people who've put back on all the weight and then some -- even with the surgery that it scares me. I will not let that happen. I'm so sick of being tired and lazy.
