I have been battleing with my weight since I was about 12 years old. I have tried every diet available only to loose some weight and then re-gain the weight plus extra. I thought about gastric bypass off and on for a couple of years before going to the 1st class in November of 2006. At that point I decided this is for me. I started the long process of Dr.'s appointments, counselor appointments and the battle of the insurance company. I was denied in May of 2007 although Dr. Baker's nurse and I both felt justified in re-submitting the request. We re-submitted and I was approved in June 2006. I had my surgeon appointment 2 weeks later and now will be having surgery August 7th, 2007. I am very excited and can't believe that the date is almost here!!!
