6 Years later

Haven't been on for a VERY long time -  I'm not sure of my current weight -- I think it's around 145  --  I eat and drink more than I should, but I feel like my weight is stable.  I would like to lose 15 pounds and start excercising --  (Springtime Goals!)

I've gained a bit - up to 125, makes me a bit nervous  - but it's OK  and normal.  I'm happy & healthy - love being thin!

Not much to say - I am pretty much maintaining around 118 - 119, struggling to get the protein in.  Thinking about plastic surgery to get rid of the saggy skin -- loving being thin!

3/27/09 - Almost 2 years now

I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary - 4/1 --  Being thin is beginning to feel normal.  For the first time in my life I am comfortable in my body.  (Well, I could do without that loose skin, but I am 52 after all!)  I do great with the vitamins and calcium - struggle to get in the protein.  I can eat a little more than I used to, but not enough to worry me.  My vices are crackers, cookies and wine; but I really don't overdue on those -- just sometimes a little bit.   I should excercise more, but I'm not sedentary --  I do love to go out and dance.  I'm so happy I had this surgery, and just pray that I continue to do as well as I have been.

Time flies....  Getting in all the protein, still a struggle!  I feel great, had a checkup last week (or week before) and everything seems good.  I feel great.  I'm very excited for my brother's fiancee -- she's having gastric bypass in Wareham on February 9th.  (Go Robyn!!)   Mom's surgery went well -- she's anxious to get back to Florida now.  Lots of stuff going on that I don't feel like thinking or writing about right now.  I'm bouncing around 115 - 117 -- which is good - really very stable at that weight for past 6 months.  I'd still love to hit my goal of 110, but everyone seems to think that would be too thin for me.  Whatever!  I'm going to get back to exercising -- my daughter wants to take a kettlebells class -- it should be fun.  And oh, by the way I am a grandma now!!!

I'm holding pretty steady at 115 -- sometimes up or down a pound. 

Still going through a lot of medical stuff with my parents.  Mom probably has cancer in her lung -- we had tests all last week and tomorrow we get the results.  Guess it will be a sleepless night. 

I'm on facebook now -- lots of fun.  I bought a laptop and had wireless internet installed at Mom and Dad's.  Everything is working well and I'm teaching mom to use the internet.  She can email all her friends in Florida now.

Catching up Nov 2nd 2009 1yr and 7 months after wls

It's been quite the stressful summer.  First mom got pnemonia and ended up in the hospital, then dad got pnemonia, sepsis and urinary tract infection.  Dad's still in a nursing home getting rehab.  It's been rough, but things are slowly getting to feel a bit like normal again.  My weight has been steady at 115.5  --  I barely think about it.  I've been busy, busy.  Angie's having a baby boy in December (30th); just had a shower for her --  lots of work.  For the past month I've been having trouble with my back -- lots of pain in my lower back.  I just started seeing a chiropractor -- hopefully that will help.  I had hoped that losing weight would solve the back problem, but it hasn't.  The dogs are great --  life is good!

I don't think much about weight and weight loss surgery anymore --  I feel sort of normal now.  Still struggle to get in enough protein, and occassionally upset my stomache by eating too much or something that doesn't agree.  My weight has been very stable at 117, and I feel great.  I really love being thin - I can wear anything I want to!  I got my puppy, her name is Gi-Gi.  I'v e had her about a month and she's a great little dog.  She is already housetrained, and always comes when I call her.  She's a sweetie and she and Rocky have bonded nicely.

I've not been on the site much lately at all -- busy, busy busy!!  I'm a bit mad at myself, cause I feel like I'm not eating healthy enough  -  not enough food, not enough protein.  I know it's extremely important, but I'm just getting lazy!  I don't get very hungry, and it's just too easy to just eat a few bites of cookie or crackers and call it a meal.  I know --  I need to get back on track.  I've been so wrapped up with my parents lately --  my dad's knee is giving him trouble.  Plus I'm dog obsessed!  I may be getting a different puppy from the one I picked out.  Unfortunately, she has a scratched eye.  Unless it improves, they won't be selling her.  I visit again on Saturday; so we'll see what happens.  My weight has remained stable -- around 117.  It feels and looks great.  (I still secretly wish I could get to the ideal weight for my height, 111 --  but I'm probably at my own actual ideal weight.
