I AM A 31 YR OLD MALE WHO IS IN FINAL STAGES OF GETTING MY SURGERY DATE. I HAVE COMPLETED ALL MY PRE-OP WORK AND I AM GOING TO SEE THE DOCTOR ON 5-13 TO GET MY DATE. I AM HOPING TO HAVE MY SURGERY BY MID AUGUST. MY FIANCEE IS HAVING HER SURGERY ON JULY 5TH OF 2005.

WELL I HAD MY LAST PRE-OP VISIT WITH THE DOCTOR ON 5/13 I AM ALL SET TO GO I HAVE A DATE OF 8/4/05 FOR SURGERY AND A PRE-OP TEACHING DATE OF 7/21/05. I FEEL LIKE THERE IS A BIG BURDEN OFF MY SCHOULDERS NOW THAT I HAVE MY DATE. THKS. DAVID

Well it has been a few weeks since updating. Everything is going fine my fiance Kellie had her surgery 7/05/05 and everything going ok she will be in the hospital a few days then coming home. Ow and one last thing my surgery is 4 weeks from today I am nervous and excited.

Hello all it has been a few more weeks and knows I am only 9 days from sugary and growing more nervous and excited with every breath. My fiancé is doing very well after her surgery she is 20 pounds in 21 days today I hope I do that well. Had my Pre-op teaching last Thursday it was very informative I also went to the doctors on Monday to get my final weight I was 506 pounds. Ok for know will see you all soon.

Hello all well it is finally around the corner surgery is only 15hrs away and I have taken the fleet soda laxative, my nerves are all shot I have to be at hospital for 10 am in the morning well I will see everyone later




8/4/05 Well after a time screw up I was in the OR by 9:45 and in m y room at the stepdown by 3:00 pm did not do allot of anything but sleep Thursday.



8/5/05 I was up ant doing PT by 700 is it felt very good to be up that PCA button does wonders started my sips later in the day.


8/6/05 Well it is Saturday I am 2 days Post-Op Doctor is sending me home on Sunday much to my amazement was told 5-6 Days in the hospital they Shutdown my PCA today I don’t mind not in allot of pain walked with PT did some stairs. Had to get hospital to order me bed for home because I am so tall and my bedroom is on 3rd floor and I am supposed to be off my feet.


8/7/05 Ya I am home. Glad and Sad I have a new view of some of the hospital staff even after all my years of dealing with them in my job. I just want to thank what I guess are only my two friends at work that took the time to come see me but I did get a call from two other friends. Ok going to relax I have post post-op pics of me with the rest of my Pics.


8/10/05 Well I am 6 days Post-Op just got done with visiting nurse doing well. Finding it hard to eat all of my food takes close to and hour and d a half to have pudding and juice. I am walking a Good distance farther since I was in the hospital. The pain is at a minimum but still have to take the liquid pain meds every once and a while will talk to everyone later.



8/20/05 Was at Doctors yesterday for my 2 week visit after surgery. I have lost 40 pounds in the two weeks. My weight is down to 459 Pounds and I am feeling good. The Doctor took out all my staples and my JP Drain in my Stomach I am already down 2 Clothes sizes to a 4XLT well I will see you all later.



9/13/05 Hello all it has been almost a month since I posted and I have been doing very good. I have been going to the Gym every day and walking and doing some light weight. I am going to the doctor next week for my 6 week check up and I am hopefully going back to work 2 weeks after that ok I will be back next week. I just want to say thanks to all my family and True Friends who have helped me thru this.

9/22/05 Hi well it has been almost ten days since my last entry I am going to see my primary today and my surgeon tomorrow. I can not wait to get the official weight loss total. I am feeling great I am 200% more energetic know than before my surgery I go to the gym at least 5 Days and walk at least 45 minutes each day well have to go will post after doctor tomorrow.

9/23/05 Went to see Dr. Roye today he says everything looks good but he is sending me for an ultra sound of my right leg to r/o DVT. I am down to 433 I feel great and he is very happy. Will talk to everyone later.


10/18/05 Well it has been a few weeks since I posted. So no DVT in my Leg. I have returned to work and I feel great but my biggest news is I am down to 398lbs I love being under 400 and my total weight loss is 108lbs in 11 weeks on Thursday. Ok I will be back in a few days I am going to doctor on 11-4



11/04/05 I saw the doctor today for my 3 month check up he was very impressed with my weight loss I am know down to 396Lbs that is 110 total since surgery and 139Lbs down from my heaviest. The only thing wrong is my iron is a little low and have to take some iron pills but other than that every thing is fine. Work is work and my stolen car was found and is being fixed.


11/20/05 Well there is only 4 days till thanks giving and I got on the scale today I was down to 384lbs that is another 10lbs gone. I do not have any concerns for Thanksgiving because I know if I overeat I will puke my brains out. I also went out yesterday to the Big & Tall store in my area that is going out of business I picked up some new clothes for my closet I bought about 2500.00 worth of clothes for 360.00 with the store closing sale I thought that was awesome. well I will leave another note after the holiday.

12/18/05 Everything is going good I am down to 363 since my last post. I am glad Christmas is almost here and gone. I will see everyone later.



01/15/06 Well the holidays are gone (YIP EEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!). Well it is back to the gym time, when I get a chance around working 65 hours a week. I have not lost much weight since my last post I am down to 356lbs but I contribute that to not going to the gym every day. I have to go to the lab next week for my blood work I go back to Dr. Roye on 2/6/06 for my six month check up I will talk to every one later.



2/06/06 Was at doctors today for my six month checkup. He was very happy with my Iron level and the rest of my lab work. I am down to 344lbs so my total weight loss is 162lbs since surgery; I have been getting back to the gym more regular so that helps will talk to you all later.



3/12/06 Was on Scale at Gym the other day I am down to 336lbs and I can know fit into a size 42 Waist pants and I am down to a 1X T-Shirt way to go me will see you all later I have new pics on picture trail and I am going to add more to this page soon



4/9/06 Well it about a month since my last post. I am down to 330Lbs only six pounds but have not been going to gym allot just been busy. But I am starting back tomorrow morning, well had my Birthday last week wow great just another year older. I have posted some new pictures up top in a cool format plus some new ones on picture trail; well I will see you all later. Was at my first support meeting in a few months Wednesday night it felt good to be back.


5/15/06 Well it has been well over a month since last post got a little lazy or over tired from working so much but gym activity was to nil. But got back on track this morning. Had a big personal blow this weekend, but it was all my fault and I know I cant fix it this time, I went for my 9 month checkup last Friday all labs are good and weight was 326 but that is because of the lack of activity that’s why I was stagnant with my weight But I am going to start hitting gym every morning and even every other night. Ok for know I will talk to you all later.


8/7/06 It has been a few months since last post just have been very busy. We bought a new 5th wheel camper and just been doing allot. I have hit the one year mark last Friday on the 4th of august already. By my scale at home I am know 297Lbs we will see what Dr. Roye reads next week at the one year visit well I will update again next Friday.
