Wow! What a journey this has been for me so far. I am down about 54 lbs. and have begun to change my wardrobe. I have never really enjoyed shopping for clothes but that is changing since there are more clothes to choose from in a smaller size.
Since having surgery I have had my esophagus stretched 3 times due to having GERD problems for a long time without taking the proper medication. This had nothing to do with affects from surgery instead it was something that I have lived with for a few years and didn't realize it was a big problem. So far I am not having any problems with it. Still need to keep an eye on it though.
We are planning a vacation to Florida in June and for the first time in my life I may have some pictures taken of me. I have never, ever liked having my picture taken.
My hair is starting to fall out now at 3 months post-op. I have made sure to keep my protein up to the recommended amount and take biotin. It is a litle frustrating knowing I have been taking the supplements and still it is falling out but then I think about others who have lost their hair to cancer or other illnesses and I am thankful my hairloss is from my body changing. I had my 3 month bloodwork done and found out I was low in iron and that too is a cause for hairloss. I am now taking 2 iron tablets daily. Hopefully in the next 3 months it will improve.

I went to Community South hospital to do my pre-op testing. The barium test was pretty nasty but I got it all down. After the test was over the doctor said I had some polyps in my stomach that needed to be removed before surgery. Great, something else I had to do before surgery. I have had polyps removed before but I'm hoping this doesn't delay surgery too long. I am hoping to have surgery around the first week or two in December. Oh well, they've got to come out so I might as well just wait and see when they can be removed.
