I have had a weight problem since childhood and I've tried everything possible to keep the weight off. Fad diets do not work!! I didn't take make this decision on a whim and I've researched so much about it. This is my lifesaver to have this surgery and to be off diabetes and hypertension medications for the rest of my life. These diseases run in my family and I have seen firsthand what it can do a person. I know what my future is if I do not have this procedure done. I want to enjoy life instead of sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else. This year was my 40th birthday and it was a prayer answered. I know God intended for me to spend the rest of my life as a new person and do the things I've missed out on. I believe it was a belated birthday present to finally get the approval from my insurance company after dealing with them for 7 months. I am going to be a better mother and wife for the decision that I've made.
