I am starting my count down. My surgery is on October 6th. I have eight days. I am very excited. I have been freezing some pureed foods in the little Glad containers. I blended some
black eyed peas, cabbage and a few others things, and then I put them in the freezer. I don't want my family to have to figure out what I need to eat. I have purchased some protein drinks also. I am ready!!!

Well I have 5 days until my surgery. And yes I am still excited. I think I have everything I need. I have just been going over my booklet of information, so I will remember all of the important things to do. My mother will be flying in on Thursday for the weekend. My husband and oldest daughter will be taking care of me the rest of the time. Although I plan on walking and doing what my body permits me to do for myself.

Wow! Tomorrow is my surgery, and I am still very excited. I am expecting the best!!! Because God always gives His children the best!!! My husband, children and friends are very supportive, and I think they are more nervous then I am. Tomorrow is the beginning of the rest of my life!!!

Wow. I made it through. Today is Tuesday. I came home from the hospital on Sunday. My surgery went great, thank God. I did experience some stomach pain after the surgery, but once the pain medicine kicked in all was well. I am eating well and resting. I needed to catch up on my sleep. I vomitted today for the first time. I am not sure why although it felt like some crushed pills were caught in my throat. I walked outside for about 5 minutes then I rested. Dr. Byrne was great, and he came to visit me on Sunday. He was very kind.
10-16-06 I went to the doctor last Thursday for my first appointment.  I had my drain removed, thank God.  A lot of my pain is now better, since I had the drain removed.   I lost 12 lbs. my first week.  I am doing better each day.  My head has to catch up to my surgery.  I am also trying to do better with taking my pills everyday.  There are so many pills, but I know it is necessary.

I am feeling better each day.  My strength is starting to come back.  As of Sunday, Oct. 22nd, I have lost 23 lbs.  I am very excited.  I am taking one day at a time.

Hello everyone.  Today I had my first month check up with  Dr. Byrne.  I am down 26 lbs.  My scale at home is five pounds off from their scale.  So, I thought I was at 31 pounds, but I am at 26 lbs.   I will make sure I make a mental note about the difference in scales because I was a little disappointed.  But, I am very grateful!!  I am exercising now.   I have a in home walking tape.  I just made it up to the mile.  I am at three days a week.  I will try to increase this more.  My stomach pain if finally gone, and I am transitioning to regular food.  I have to remember to eat slow, or everything comes back up.  I am learning daily about what I can and cannot eat.  Thank God each day is getting better!!!

Hello Everyone.  Yesterday was two months for my surgery.  I am down 33 pounds.  I was trying to reach 40, but I am not complaining.  I am feeling good, and exercising 3 or more days per week.  The eating is getting better.  I have been keeping my food down.  I am learning to eat slow and to stop when I am full.  Yes, I am still glad I had this done.  I am fitting back into clothes that I haven't worn in a while.  I am happy!!!

Hello Friends.  I went for my 3 month check up.  I have losts 45 pounds.  Dr. Byrne said I was loosing a little slow, but some loss was better than no loss.  He wants me to lose 40 more pounds by my 6 month check up.  I will definitely add more exercising.  My back had went out for a few weeks in December.  I could barely walk, so of course I couldnt exercise.  But, now I am all better, and I am back to exercising.  I have to go to therapy for my back also, so I am sure that will help.  My eating is much better, and I am keeping my food down.

Hello Friends.  How is everyone doing.  I am doing great!!!  I have lost a total of 73 pounds.  It has been 9 months.  I am exercising faithfully three to four times per week.  My skin is tightening up well.  I work out for one hour each session.  I do twenty minutes cardio and 30 minutes weight training.  The trainer changes my routine about every 2 months.  I am eating well sometimes I think I am eating too much.  I am working hard for every pound.
