I am a forty seven year old female who is hoping to have gastric bypass. i'm waiting for the insurance approval. My husband was already approved for it. He's excited and I'm glad he's on his way to a new healthy life! I have two biological children, both married and two step children I consider my other bonus children. I am raising them with their dad! I am a working mom (who isn't?!) and hoping to get another chance at a healthy life.
I started this process last June (06) and am fighting the insurance. Unbelievable. I get excited and hopeful only to be discouraged because of this insurance process. Its not for the faint of heart!
I am hoping to get the gastric operation at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN. I have already gone through the classes, psych testing, six month supervised diet etc. The doctor and his staff are fantastic and help ease one's anxieity. I couldn't ask for anything more except maybe approval!!! Oh, my insurance is Unicare of Indiana.
