Hi, friends call me Piper. I am from Southeast Wisconsin and I'm just in the starting phase of doing what it takes to get my weight loss "tool" surgery. I found out about this site from my surgeon's office and thought it would be a great idea to find out more about the process, develop some lasting friendships, and get in on the support chats.

My weight problems started in 1998 when I weighed in at 140 pounds and I decided to quit smoking. The good news is that I never went back to smoking but the bad news is that I blew up to 190 pounds and for every pound I lost, I progressively gained back plus some since that time. I tried just about every method on the market and by August of 2006, I was close to 200 pounds when I had a hysterectomy which made things worse. In addition to attempting to follow professional diet plans, I have join the local club twice with slow and short lived weight loss and gain results which has contributed to my depression and anxiety issues.

To date, I got remarried on March 13, 2009 in addition to returning to college at 50 years old to earn my second bachelors degree. In the mean time, I started to research the bariatric techniques and surgeons in my area when I learned upon a recent visit to my GP, that I not only gained more weight but I'm at my highest of 250 pounds! So, needless to say after attending several "seminars", I have made the ultimate decision that the RNY is what I need to help me win the battle against my excess weight and any future medical issues associated with this disease. I have picked out and met my surgeon and staff and I'm dedicated to doing whatever it takes to get closer to my surgical date tentatively set for July 20, 2009.

Much love and respect to all with lots of best wishes sent your ways!
