This is Karen, Katrina's older sister. I'm here to support Katrina in any possible way I can. At first I wasn't real keen on her having this procedure, if for no other reason than my own fears from all the "horror" stories I know of. I decided that was my problem and am doing everything I can to learn more about it so that I understand it and know what to expect. I realize that this is her last chance at improving her health; she suffers from chronic back pain and that sucks toads. She is lucky that she doesnt' have any co-morbidities but she's definetely a high risk for Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, etc. I am here to tell her that I respect her decision to have this operation and that I love her so very much! I've never seen her as strong as she is right now and that comes from her taking a stand and doing this for nobody but herself! She and I are going to start her a journal full of thoughts, poems, pictures, whatever! and will continue to do so as she goes through the recovery process and then some. While I'm not having this surgery myself, I know that her choice to lead a healthier life will flow over to me because as her angel I'm going to be on her butt to stick to what she is suppose, to get up and exercise and to finally, finally dear Trina, enjoy life. I am not sure how to do this, but my sister is going to be my angel. She doesn't have a profile on here but she can sign up for one. Otherwise I will just have her sign in under mine!
