I have been obese for as long as I can remember.  Because I'm so tall, when people see me they think I'm just overweight rather than morbidly obese. I have two little girls, a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old.  My husband left me two years ago and we are in the middle of a divorce. After checking prices of various doctors, I decided to opt for Dr. Manrique in Venezuela.  It's a little scary going to South America for a VSG, but he seems ligit and the price is right.  I look froward to a new life.  I can't weight.  I hope to be in Venezuela by next weekend. I'll definitely participate with updates.  Reading everyone's stories has been so encouraging.  Sharing in this forum is the best. This surgery is for ME. I want to feel and look better.
