Six months out........
Dec 06, 2008
I finally made it to the six month mark and I feel fantastic. I have lost 75 pounds (34% of my starting weight) and have only about 15 more to go.
My cholesterol is below 200 for the first time in over 15 years AND with no medication! I have stopped taking all of my medications (I was on 6) except the allergy meds.
Like most others, I have lots of excess skin that I would like to get rid of but can't afford to. Maybe someday.
My only regret is that I didn't do this much sooner.

Back to work!

This is my first day back to work and I'm already tired after only four hours. I feel better but still have stitches and a very sore belly. The eating has been tricky already but hopefully it will get easier soon.
Two weeks out...

I'm getting around a little better but have never been so tired in my life. My eyes just won't stay open after 3-4 hours of being awake. I think I must be low on iron because I'm getting lots of protein (relatively speaking).
Hopefully each day I'll be a little less tired.....

Well, so far so good. My laproscopic procedure turned into an open procedure after 2 hours, making my surgery over 6 hours long. Wow! And I definitely have the stitches to show it; I can hardly move.
Other than being very sore, the liquids are going down well and I see the doctor tomorrow. Can't complain, this is what I wanted!
