See how I am?!?! I haven't blogged in a whole month!! We are doing great, thank you LORD!

I actually had my first fill this past Monday and I will be honest, it hurt. I could tell I needed a fill because I was eating a whole lot more. Now I was eating now where what I use to eat but I could tell it was time. I didn't eat anything before my fill so I wouldn't jeopardize my fill. I only got 1 cc. I thought I should have received more but it turns out that I already had like 4cc in my band. After the fill I did liquids for 24 hours and soft food for 1 week.

Now when I went in I thought, for sure, that I had gained weight. I actually lost 3 more pounds. Let’s see. That makes it a total of 40. 20 lbs before surgery and 20 lbs after. I had surgery 7 weeks ago, and though I wouldn’t mind losing more weight, I am really happy with my numbers. I have noticed that my clothes fit a lot looser, that is AWESOME! I do have a pair of jeans that I can’t wait to put on. They are a size 28, I am going to get into those bad boys next month, LORD willing.

My goal is to go to Disneyland and get on those rides with my son. Sigh… Good Times :o)

I have a lot more energy now. I’m not talking feeling wired, I mean more like… I don’t feel tired like I used to. I don’t feel lethargic. That is truly a blessing.

See how I am! I haven't been on here in so long. I am so sorry.

Let me give you some updates. My hubby has lost a total of 100 lbs since October. He did lose 50 on his own and he is doing awesome!

I'm doing pretty good. I really do need to exercise though. We have a little gym in the building were we live so I just need to figure out some time to do it. I can think of so many excuses. Okay, I will go in the morning before my husband goes to work, now if I can just get up that early... hee hee hee

So far my eating is kinda funny. I have never been a breakfast eater but I do have some decaf of juice, you know, just to get me started. I have a small lunch and dinner, well that can be negotialble.
(Here I am using big words and I don't know if I am spelling them right:o)

I get my fill on the 11th and another official weigh in
Should I keep my shoes on or off this time ??? Hummm...

Hi Folks!!
Surgery went great! I had a lot of wonderful people praying for me and I thank you so much. The nurses told me that I kept smiling in the recovery room and they thought it was so funny. When I woke up a little, I put my hand on my belly and Chelsea, the RN said, "it's there, you got the band." I said thank you, smiled and fell back asleep. I tell you, the LORD ROCKS!!!

Lets see, my surgery was the 15th and I came home hurting on the 16th. The pain meds helped out a lot. On the 18th I went walking, aka shopping, and it hurt but I survived.

On the 19th, Wednesday, we went to IHOP! Since my husband had the band put in on the 27th on Nov so he is doing puree to soft foods so this is what we did. I had the Navy  Bean soup strained, and my hubby order an all protien breakfast with 4 eggs, 3 bacon, sausage, and ham. Our son are all the meat and my hubby ate one egg and I had a few 4 ounces of my soup. Here the sweet part, dinner was only $15 BUCKS!!! And that included a 3 dollar tip, WooHoo!!! During church that nite I had a sneeze attack, OUCH! I'm still sore from that one.

Thank you so much for alloging me to share my journey with you :o)

Hi Folks!
As you can tell I have updated my surgery date. There was a change of plans and my surgery was postponed. The funny thing is that I am way okay with that. Dr. Korn has such a great staff and I think they felt worse about it than I did. There were a lot of blessings with the change of my surgery date. For one, it was my son's birthday, so instead af hanging around at a hospital, we celebrated his reaching the ripe age of 8. Nonna and Poppy to us to my son's favorite place. Joe's Crab Shack and then we spent the day playing games. We also saw one of my favorite movies, "Meet the Robinsons"! I think we love that movie so much because it reminds us of our own little family.
I always remember... GOD is good and everything happens for a reason :o)

I have been neglecting my blog, See How I AM!! Goodness :o)
Well, another Thanksgiving has come and gone and we survived it withou gaining any weight! My husband and I both have surgery this week and we need to keep the last few pounds off.
The neat thing this year was that Thanksgiving wasn't about the food but more about spending time together as a family.
Example, the day after Thankgsiving, we took a train trip to "Santa's Village" were we had milk and cookies with the Big Guy, sang Christmas Carols and the town Mayor read us Christmas stories (we taught our son the Christmas is about Christ and the Saint Nicholas was a real person who lived a long time ago, and the Santa's that people use now are all Santa's Helpers).
After that awesome train ride, which was about 3 hours rounds trip, we hit the mall were we made out like bandits! After the Mall we went to annual lighting of the Christmas tree. First "God's Kids" performed, then they Mayor spoke, there was also a Salute to our Military, very cool!
The bestest part was when we walked to the Egyptian Theater and saw "It's A Wonderful Life" on the big screen, I laughed, I cried, it was amazing!!! After that we headed home, it was a long day but it was great!!
We spent the whole day together and food wasn't on our minds til we got hungry and ate at this awesome place called Memphis, did I spell that right:o)

Hi Folks!!! On 8/21 I sat in my first WLS Support group at St Lukes Medical, it was very informative. I went an a month that they have someone from Idaho Athletic Club. They have a trainer who specializes with folks who had WLS surgery. She also brought in a bunch of healthy goodies, I was shocked to find out they didn’t taste like cardboard! They varied in flavor and I can't remember which ones I tried, but I do recall, mmm... chewy. It was neat to see people of all sizes, from, “I’m still sore”, to “You lost how much?!” I can't wait to be on the other side of things :o)
