Angel here-I spoke w/Monica this am and she didn't have a good night. Just couldn't get comfortable. Well, I just called to see how she was and was informed that about 1:25pm(est)she was taken by ambulance to the hospital. So, please keep her in your prayers. I think she overdid it. I'm waiting to hear and will let you all know how she is.

Hi all, I just saw Monica this morning. She looks fantastic. You can see that she lost weight in her face already. She is absolutely GLOWING!!!A smile that I don't know if I've ever seen. She's been walking around,been to church and the grocery store!!!!!Way to go girlfriend. You're on the right path!!!!

Angel here-Didn't get to repost yesterday but Monica was released yesterday. She sounds wonderful and I know she's glad to be home. Said that so far this has been easier than she expected! A little achy tho.

Spoke with Monica a little bit ago. She sounds GREAT! A little achy but nothing like she expected. Yesterday she passed her leak test and she's doing laps around the nursing station.(Way to go Monica). She's eating soft/pureed food and seems to be tolerating. Possibly coming home today but most likely it's tmo! Thanks for all your support.

Okay, I'm landing again-I just got a call from Monica!!!! She's tired but other than that she's great. Feels better than expected. She's thrilled to "be on the other side now". Still groggy,so far the nurses and all have been wonderful and they couldn't have expected it to go any better. Hopefully she'll feel that way tmo! She sounded great and she wants to thank everyone for all the support and kind words. Barbster she's now a "switchsister". I even went on the chat room to post for her.(Never done that b4).Anyway, will update tmo. Have a wonderful evening!!!

Angel coming in for a landing here! Monica's DH just called and surgery went wonderful. Uneventful. No complications whatsoever. Dr. Herron was able to do LAP(I know she's happy about that). She was in surgery about 4.5 hrs. Tmo. will do a leak test. DH didn't have info. on room # yet. She'll be going up shortly. Way to go girlfriend! We're real proud of you!
