Angel landing-Hi all. Where to start! First, Monica's doing MUCH better. Went to ER yesterday in NJ. Had Pulminary Test & Cat Scan. All appeared negative. Very dehydrated. By 11pm she was on her 5th bag of fluids. A lot of pain, not sure why. Dr. Herron at Mt. Sinai was notified before the ambulance ever left her home. He spoke with the Hospital before she ever arrived. The best surgeon was on her case(I felt much better by that). ANyway, it was deemed that any surgery if needed was to be done at Mt. Sinai and not at Morristown. Dr. got her stablized and Mt. Sinai sent an ambulance to come get her.I was impressed. They arrived by 10:30pm and were wonderful. When they arrived all of a sudden there was this presence. His hat and jacket said "BIG DADDY". Well, he was big and so gentle with Monica. It took a 1/2 hr. to move her onto the gurney. They moved her inch by inch so as not to cause any more pain. I must say, the ER staff would have just moved her. They couldn't figure out what he was doing in there! Monica said she felt much more comfortable on the gurney. She was so afraid of the pain getting bounced around to NY(1 1/2 hrs). Only 2 episodes around bends. They got to Mt. Sinai around 12:30 am and Dr. Herron would do surgery if needed after they reran the tests. All tests okay but they did go in around 5am. Found some dried blood that they cleaned up. No leaks but they think that the dried blood and the dehydration were the cause of the problem. So, Monica was able to have another LAP. She's resting comfortably. Luckily she went directly to the 10th floor when they arrived and didn't have to go back thru the ER. So, thanks all for your prayers! I know Monica deeply appreciated it.Will keep you posted when we know more. They plan on putting her on solids tmo.
