Jeffrey Lord

"Dr Lord and his staff are wonderful. I fell like everyone in that office was my own personal cheerleader. They care and they are excited for you...with you. Sacred Heart Hospital has a bariatric ward. That means oversized chairs, beds, toilets wider doorways. I didn't feel uncomfortable anywhere from the ward to Dr. Lords office. Dr. Lord was straight to the point about what to expect or not expect but more importantly he wanted to know what I knew about my procedure and after-care to make sure i'd done my research...yes there was a test so be ready. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. That a few of his staff members are former patients of his meant a great deal to me too. Would you work for someone if they didn't care for you properly in the same condition?"

Tamara Petrac

"I meet with Dr Petrac at the Pensacola Naval Hospital in 2003. I was referred to her when I was seeking tubal ligation. She seemed knowledgeable and I thought she was pleasant. We discussed my surgery for about 40 min and schedule my surgery for the next week. ---> About an hour after my appointment that day, while I was on my way home, she calls my cell phone and says she doesn't feel comfortable performing my surgery because I am "too overweight" (my BMI at the time was about 38). She said she didn't feel comfortable and didn't know anyone who was. Why she couldn't tell me this to my face I'll never know. She referred me to a nutritionist and to Biloxi AFB. (She didn't think ANYONE in Pensacola (where I lived) could perform a tubal on a fat person. I never did get my tubes tied."
