Tonya, So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I received the same kind of phone call and my sister was gone from a massive heat attack. I agree about using our time wisely because we never know about tomorrow. Please take care.

Tonya, Im so sorry to hear about your fathers health. I know how you feel about the possiblity of losing a parent. Right now It hurts so badly, you can't think right. Wls can be put on the back burner for now. But as time passes you will be able to realize that your Dad do/did want you to take care of yourself. and to live a happy life. Im sure he wants the best for you. My dad died from cancer also at a young ago of 57 and I do miss him so much. One thing he always wanted me to do was to loss the weight. I just wish I had known about wls when he was alive. We could of done alot of things together. God Bless you and your family during these rough days. Hang in there. Hugs

Tonya! Say good riddens to your fertility doctor. Chances are you will get pregnant after you lose your weight. My surgeon warns his patients to make sure you use birth control faithfully in the months following your surgery because with all the changes in your body, your hormones go into overdrive, and your chances of becoming pregnant are much greater. He recommends you wait at least 18 months to let your body stablize, but said if you do become pregnant before hand, just to make sure you see your OB/GYN, himself & possibly a nutritionist to make sure the baby gets all the right nourishment. Ditch your fertility doctor! He seems like a jerk! Hang in there, and take care!

TONYA~~ Part of the reason that I waited a year to have my WLS was that my PCP had a very quick negative response to it when I brought up the subject. Then he left the practice and I got a new PCP and when I asked him, he had a very quick positive response. Everyone has an opinion and not everyone is "sold" on WLS. This is a decision that ONLY YOU can make. Don't listen to anyone else- not even your PCP... make the decision based on what you feel is right for you. If your decision is to get WLS and your PCP won't be supportive, I would get another PCP. ~~~BEST WISHES ON YOUR WLS JOURNEY~~ May the world hug you today with its warmth, and love.....Pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart.....And may the wind carry a voice that tells you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world wishing you well!~~

Hi, I read your post about your Dr today. I just wanted to tell you NO ONE can tell you whats right FOR YOU!! not even an infertility specialist.. if he was showing you exercises like that he has NO compassion for the morbily obese... its saddens me greatly you had to go through that. its bad enough society puts a lable on us.. but its so much harder when a medical "professional" does it as well.. Im praying for you, i hope you come to a peaceful decision in all of this... I also pray you can find the strenght to find a Dr who will treat you with more compassion and maybe help you not discourage you or in a sense make a pun at you for how or why you may have gotten to be where you are... always remeber ppl are shallow, cruel, and have no clue how u feel inside never underestimate your own power!!!..... *hugs* if u need someone im here :)

Hi Tonya, I read your post today about your dr. I think he is a jerk. It's not like you are a lite wt. You need help. If it was that easy. Don't they think we would of done this long ago. Who in the H likes to be FAT. Some drs have no idea what wls is all about. Everytime I go to my primary dr. he is so interested on how I'm doing and how I feel. we talk atlease 6 mins just on wls. He is so happy I made this decision. and I am too. When I talk to him I realize he doesn't know nothing about wls. He asks me questions. hugs
