Update on Micwest ! Well, micwest called me last night . She is STILL in the hospital. They are trying to wean her off of her iv pain meds. She is in alot of pain, still. She is up on a walker to the bathroom with help. She got a wonderful shower yesterday that she really did enjoy. The doctors are thinking of moving up her 2nd epidural for the pain blocker to a date before her wls that is rescheduled for Feb. 3rd. She is missing everyone in chat and said hi to everyone. Please keep Micwest in your prayers and send her get well wishes ! Thanks ! Gram

I just got a phone call from Micwest. She is still in the hospital battling with her herniated disc. She went by ambulance today to another hospital that could accomodate her with an epidural to do a pain blocker. She had it done but is still experiencing some pain. She does " sound " better than she has been. If she can walk in the a.m., they will let her go home. She is scheduled to have 2 more epidurals, both 2 weeks apart. She will be coming back to chat as soon as she can. Please remember Micwest in your prayers . She so desperately wants to have her rny on Feb. 3rd and will be able to if she can walk. Micwest~ Just wondering how you are doing and if you have come home from the hospital ? I did not talk to you at all yesterday ! I did try to call you at home, though , and left a message. Hope things are going your way and the healing is progressing rapidly. Come to chat when you can ! Have hubby move that computer upstairs !!! LOL (((((Hugs))))) , Gram

Wendy, I'm sorry to hear of all your trouble. I experienced a herniated disc a year ago. (L5 disc) So I know EXACTLY how much pain you are in right now. It's completely debilitating. I hope the injections are successful and you can continue with the surgery. I had 3 injections over the course of 10 weeks. I do still have some pain and have never gotten rid of the numbness in my foot and calf. But, at least I can sit up in a chair and walk and take care of my family. I hope that weight loss will be a tremendous help. Take care and best wishes. I'll say a prayer for you.

Wendy, I am so very sorry about your back. How awful. I hope you can get the pain under control soon and get everything back to as normal as possible.

Micwest ended up back in the hospital, after crawling on her hands and knees to get into the car !!! She had her MRI done and it showed a herniated disc that is bulging. It has not ruptured so that is good news ! She remains in good spirits even though she is still in immense pain. They are medicating her to try to help control the pain. She will be visited today by a specialist to see about injecting a pain blocker in her spine. She needs to get on with rehab as her Lap RNY is rescheduled for Feb. 3rd. If she can not walk by then, they will have to cancel her wls ----again !!! Let's all keep Micwest in our prayers ! She is grateful for the postings and hopes to be back in the chat room as soon as she can. Blessings to all ! Gram

oh hun.. I do know what pain you are going thru, at least the emotional pain of being cancelled.. I've been cancelled and postponed 3 times.. but my thoughts and prayers are with you that your back begins to heal, you begin to feel better and your surgery on the 3rd goes smoothly and as painfree as possible.
