well what a busy holiday!!! :)

hope this finds everyone well!

I'm still waiting to get medical insurance for my RNY/DS, whichever my surgeon will recommend.

I havent been losing weight like i want to be, and where i SHOULD be, but in the last 2 months i have lost 11lbs, so im at 456.7 lbs and im just 13.7 away from being where i was at my 1yr surgeversary at 442....

not having medical insurance SUCKS!!!!  i have sprained my back just after Christmas, once again, doing ABSOLUTELY nothing (i was bending over picking up a paper from the floor)  so far pain meds and muscle relaxants have helped and im feeling MUCH better--

this last summer (August) i took a couple weeks off work and helped my father run 3 concession booths at 2 local county fairs in our area...which proved to me that i have come such a LONG way to where i was just almost 3 years ago!!!   BOY WAS IT HOT!!! Hot, Sweaty and did i mention HOT?!?!? haha... it was SO hot at the end of the two weeks, that it bothered the adema in my legs so bad that they started to leak, but mom and dad made me sit and do NOTHING but take customers $ for the last two days and i took some Lasix (a water pill), which helped ALOT!   It was alot of walking and standing, but i MADE IT THROUGH!!!! :) :) :)  it was a LONG two weeks away from Jonathan (new bf-will be mentioned later) but was well worth the pain and sweat (i think my sweat was sweating! haha)    I came back home and just HAD to weigh myself, as i was sure i had lost SOMETHING, right???   NOPE... not 1 ounce!!!! grrrrrrrr.... BUT just after 1 week, i had lost 10lbs!!! :)

since last year, ive been playing with about 7-11lbs losing, gaining, losing only to have gained it back again... i cant seem to find a way to KEEP IT OFF and its annoying me!!! I've made a few New Years Resolutions:

1. Exercise more-many of you may or may not remember, but Dec 2009 i sprained ankle/knee, and May 2010 i sprained back the first time!

2. Don't let not losing any weight bother me and tie me down-i can do this!!!!

3. Take a trip with my neices to the U.P. - i planned this back in 2009, but didnt work-- due to economy  :(

I'm also happy to report that i have recently (July 2010) been reaquainted with an old friend of 5yrs and things are just WONDERFUL!! his name is Jonathan we have decided that our relationship should become "official" on December 23, 2010... it truely was the BEST Christmas present I've ever had!! lol  He's the best thing for me right now, and he is SUCH a great supporter in my weightloss journey!!  I'm so lucky and as they say-"sometimes you have to stop looking for the right person, because that person may be right under your nose"--- they were right!!!  (i love you Jonathan!!!!)

did anyone else make any New Year's Resolutions???

hey everybody!!   havent posted since July... figured id let ya all know what i been up to...

hmmm... well in October we welcomed my newest neice to the family-- Natalie Ann!! :)   shes 4months now and SUPER FUN!!

i havent been doing much... on December 5th, i decided to fall down our back steps on the ice and sprained BOTH my left knee/ankle-- OUCH!!!   dont know how i did it to both, but i fell HARD AND QUICK!!  

not being able to get outside when its nice and walk is what is KILLIN me right now!!!-- ive missed warm weather!

im STILL pissed off about the new insurance crap ( i dont have any right now ) but i WANT part 2 (Duodenal Switch) done, but need insurance, but cant buy any because as of 09, Individual policies NO LONGER cover bariatric!?!?!?!?.... UGH

im VERY stressed about not being able to get insurance as a group, (without switching jobs-as their ISNT ANY OUT THERE....and i sure as hell cant afford self-pay--- so i cant do anything about it right now...

I've completely stalled at my weight loss- ive actually have gained 20+ lbs back since being off my leg/foot :'(  

SOMEONE give me words of encouragement (or tell me where i can find a husband with a great job and KILLER insurance so i can marry him for it !)  JK!  (but that WOULD be an open option... LMAO!!!!)

any info that ANYONE can find on any options for me is ENCOURAGED AND WELCOME!!! :)

(i need a kick in the ass! )

ok so i had a REALLY bad week...

last Friday, my 76 yr old Grandfather passed away unexpectedly...

this has turned my world UPSIDE DOWN...
 
on top of that, i have officially plateaued and actually have gained 8 lbs since my 1yr surgeversary on March 4th... **sigh**

tryin to work through this whole week of  being stressed out!!!!!

Went to my 1st year appointments today...

Their new "home" is BEAUTIFUL!!! So clean, and new... lol

First talked with Christine, and had almost ALLLLL of my questions answered about my Carb intake (im fine... anything over 150 is too much)... and was soooooo HAPPY to have her say that im doing everything diet wise that i should be doing... (sheeeeew) lol

Next appointment was with Todd... my fav PA!!!!!!  He's was so happy to see me doing so well still... said that im ahead of schedule with the weight loss, and always tells me that im his easiest appointments, cuz i dont need to be told what to do... lol   they are a little concerned with my Vit D levels, and my parathyroid-something level... so im back on the Vitamin D-- and gotta be checked for the Thyroid levels in 6 weeks...

Last appointment was with Scott, the behavioralist---  we talked alot about how to cope with different things after surgery... i expressed my concern of coping with stress and how i ALMOST want to start smoking again... and he dove right into how we all need to use the tips he gave us to work through them...

I had such a great day... i took my 5yr old neice as a tag along... and i tried a few of the new foods they have there... not too bad... lol

i have posted my transformation...

                                             Today is my 1st year anniversary!!

Cant believe that its already been a year since my surgery... WHAT A RIDE!!!!!!

I'm sooooo happy about the new me... and im glad that im able to finally say that...

So much has happened in the past year, and its only gonna get better from here!!!!!

i know im naughty i havent been posting....dont get online much anymore!

i finally went in to get a weigh-in--

well i managed to still lose another 15lbs since last weigh-in in September--

winter is roaring its NASTY UGLY head at us--but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel--err-should i say end of SNOW pile--another 5-6 inches since yesterday-oh boy!

im doing great!! im down 3 pant sizes (YAY!!!) AND 2 shirrt sizes--trying to tell myself i can wear smaller then a 5x shirt, but my "bagginess" has yet to get out of my brain.

Has anyone made any New Years resolutions?

mine are the following (to try out anyway)(so far)

1. get back to the gym!! (damn cold weather)
2. be more vigilant with Fitday.com
3. lose another 45 before my yearly app on March 4th (to possibly have lost 200 since my start a year ago)

so i got this letter in the mail today:

Dr. mmpc Patients:

We are pleased to announce that mmpc surgeon, Jeffrey Gawel, MC, FACS is now directing the MMPC Surgical Weight Loss Program (goes on to tell about him)

"As of November 1, 2008, Dr.s  Baker, Foote, Kemmeter and White will no longer be with MMPC"

hi everybody... i know ive been away for awhile...

Went to my 6month post-op-- are ya ready??

ive lost 125lbs since surgery... 147 since January!!

wooooooohooooooooo!!!!!

i'm feeling AMAZING!!!!

ive lost a whole person.. now i want my century club logo....lol

the only thing i hate is that winter is coming....  hahaah

hope you all are doing well, and ill try to get back here from time to time and get more pictures up as well....

ive been keeping track of my measurements a little and ill get them on here too....

sorry its been awhile...

at my 6 week appointment, i had only lost another 6lbs....but  i went to my 3 month appointment and im down 31 more lbs and 94 total since surgery!!!!!! yay!!!!!!

i actually had to buy new clothes...im now in a size 4x in pants and 6x in shirts.... woohoooooooooooo!!!!!!!

pool is now open and its 75 degrees...... time for pool weights!!! 

just an update!::

they couldnt remove my filter, it was too attached to my vein, so im keepin it...which they say is what they used to do...

im now eating real food... just cant do the canned chicken just yet..... kinda just hits hard and stays there.. lol

just waiting for the 21st for my 6week check-up... cant wait to see how much more ive lost!!!!
