ONE YEAR SICE SURGERY!

Nov 20, 2008

So, Nov. 19th was my surgiversarry- sp? and I stepped on the scale and was officially down exactly 120lbs!!

I am so glad that this new little tummy of mine is working out so well. I have yet to exercise and have on many occasions had some unhealthy carbs and still - a year out, here I am down 120lbs! That's amazing. I am really going to stick to the rules as best i can for the next six months so that I can loose down to my surgeon's goal for me, which is 150lbs. I am thrilled with my VSG.

About 10 months out, down 112lbs

I haven't updated in a while so here goes...

Life is so much easier in so many ways now. I am able to move freely and don't feel uncomfortable in my clothing anymore. I am able to walk and play with my children. I keep my house cleaner, everything is just easier physically. Even if this weight is the lowest I get to, the surgery was a success in my book already!

Yay VSG! I haven't been this close to ONEDERLAND since high school!

3 months post op

Feb 17, 2008

I had my 3 months post op appointment and it went well. I AM DOWN 63 LBS since surgery!!

I need to start seriously exercising to save my muscle mass apparently. I also need to start making sure I get in all my protein and water and vitamins. THAT is easier said than done when I rarely feel hungry and can't hold much. Plus coordinating the drinks, then the food is sometimes difficult. But I am loosing, and a lot! The VSG works! Yay!!

Went in for my 1.5 week late "One month post op" today...

They scheduled me for next time so that I will be there at exactly 3months po. So that's good and slightly less confusing.

I had my nut appointment and had my appointment with Dr Boyce today. I am OK to start exercising, yippee, lol... The first few weeks the weight flew off,  I have lost 34lbs total as of today. But the past week and a half I have been grazing and with Christmas having some sweets, etc. So, back to basics for me! I know that I want to loose this weight and be healthy so bad so why, why why do I do this to myself? Ugh!

I will join a gym soon. I know it will help and make me feel better, plus graze less. I was told to get back to basics, 3 measured meals a day ONLY. To wait 30 minutes after drinking to eat, then an hour after eating to drink. I can see why I haven't been getting my water in, I have been snacking too much! lol No wonder, I couldn't hardly drink all day.

Now, as I sit here, my biggest temptation is "low carb" sweets. I put them in my own stocking and also have real full force sweets around the house leftover from Christmas. I think I need to gift them all or trash them. I want so badly to succeed at this and I know that I am doing well, even though I feel like I am not. I suppose because I know I could be following the rules better, etc. But the critical thinking is no good. I AM doing well, according to my doctor. I just have to focus on doing things right, and know that I am. Positive, positive, positive!

I will loose 100lbs by mid-summer, let's say by June 22nd. DD#2's summer b-day. I really hope I can do that. That would put me at 223lb by then. That would be great. And who knows, maybe I will even beat that goal! That leaves me 76lbs to go in about 6months. Surely I can do it!! I am joining a gym tomorrow!~
