I called Kara this morning, and she's in good spirits. I tried reaching her Saturday afternoon, but as I expected, she had visitors and it was difficult for her to reach the phone. She's hopeful she'll be released tomorrow. I'll call her tomorrow to check in and report back. When you're reading this and you feel better Kara, I just want to thank you for sharing your story and feelings with me :-)

Went to visit Kara yesterday in the hospital. She was doing really great. Said her pain level was well managed and she was not doing bad at all. Said she had been up to walk a few times for short distances and did ok. Had eaten a bit of jello and some liquids and tolerated them very well. Her hand was hurting her from th IV worse than anyhting. Dr came in while I was there and said he would have the IV site changed so hopefully that will help her feel better. She really looked and sounded great. Keep up the good work girl!!!!

Kara...good luck tomorrow! I saw Dr. Gaar today, my surgery is the 26th. I will be praying that all goes well. Good luck on your new life!!!
