Good Samaritan Hospital

"I had my surgery (VSG) two weeks ago and I have just a few things to say about Good Samaritan Hospital. First, while I was pleased with the hospital itself I feel that the nursing staff is in need of some improvements. I was there for 2 nights and in that time, there were a few nurses who took care of me and I was not pleased with most of them. The first nurse refused to learn or ask me my name. Instead, she would come into the room and grab my wrist to see my name on my wristband and she was very impersonal. Another nurse, whose name I cannot remember, took her time doing EVERYTHING. Regardless of the request, whether it was for pain meds or assistance in getting up to go to the bathroom or for a walk, I had to wait at least 10-15 minutes for her to acknowledge me and then she would tell me she'd be right back and she would take another 10-15 minutes to come back. The other thing is, I agreed to be a part of research for my procedure and I had three students, in addition to the nurses, coming into my room periodically to check my vitals and take notes I guess and not one of them had any idea what they were doing. One of them even asked me when I was having surgery even though she was visiting me on the recovery floor!! Anyway, those things I listed did not make me happy but other than that, the hospital wasn't too bad."
