I'm Pj from St. Cloud, MN. Darren Glass ( He's the greatest) is my doctor and I will be having surgery on Dec. l5, 2006. This will be the second time I packed my bags and headed for bariatric surgery. I was scheduled on Sept 29th, but hours before the surgery they discovered a tumor in my lymph tissue and one on my right lung. After many CT's, doctor appointments, blood work and a Pet scan, I was sent to the U of M. They opperated in November and the tumor was benign and composed of Fungus. What a Thanksgiving present to be grateful for! Out of the bad often comes something good, so the good news was that because of the extensive cancer tests, I now know I am really healthy and have no heart issues etc. That is great news when going into surgery.
They have scheduled my surgery for Dec. l5th at the St. cloud Hospital. I am now on my 4th day of the liquid diet and I am doing well. It was hard to psych myself up for surgery right after undergoing a different type of surgery, but I have managed it, and I am looking forward to a healthier me in 2007 I can hardly wait to be able to throw my leg over the side of my speedboat and enjoy next years boating.
