Well my records are finally submitted to my insurance and am waiting on the approval and then here we go....

I am not waiting for my primary to get my records over to my surgeon.  A waiting game of when when and when.  I have been touching on the diet I have to be on 2 weeks prior to surgery.  At my visit with my primary on 2/9/10, I lost 4 pounds. 
I feel pretty good and kinda can tell I may have lost a little more. 

I am ready for the surgery and yet nervous as well.  I am nervous to do it and also nervous not too....I know that no matter what there has to be change.  This surgery means changing for good and I realize the risk and danger.  I also realize the risk for not doing it.  I am sure I am not the only one that struggles with this.  I know this is no cure, its a tool and must be treated as such. 

I have had my last appointment with my primary Dr and she is going to fax over my records to my surgeon as soon as possible.  Then I will wait and hear from the Surgeons office to get the approval and well....it is the waiting game.  I am ready to do this. 

I have my 6th visit with my primary Dr on the 6th and then my appointment with my surgeon on the 7th.  He is going to do an EGD but it's only a small light to make sure I have no polyps.  I was told it will not hurt, they will just numb my throat, take away my gag reflex, I am pretty nervous about this.  I will also meet with the nutritionist and then the rest will be waiting on my insurance to approve.  I already know they will pay for it and the nurse at my surgeons office said they take about 2 weeks to send the approval.  So, it's coming around to the time that this will happen.  I am ready and nervous, tired of feeling depressed about myself and feeling tired all the time.  I will post more later..

I have one more visit with my primary on Jan. 6, 2010.  I then have an appointment with my surgeon on Jan 7th so they can do an EGD.  Then they will submitt everything to my insurance and I have been told it would take them about 2 weeks to return approval.  I know my inuurance will pay for it, I had called and asked them about it.  I am excited, scared, nervous and unsure.  All in one, but I also know I need this tool to help me become much healthier.  I am ready.  I will post more as I can.
