Lisa C.
Hi all.
I had my surgery in May of 2003. I was 348 pounds (as of a month prior to surgery, was never weighed in the hospital) and miserable. Health wise, I was doing okay but emotionally being heavy can take its toll. I lost 163 pounds and was 6 months before my 2 year deadline when I discovered I was pregnant. I was overjoyed since I probably would have NEVER gotten that way had I not lost the weight. Now a few years later I am the proud mom of 2 beautiful girls and still have most of my weight off. I still have a few lingering pounds (5-10 depending on the day) to lose after my last pregnancy, but I just need to buckle down and do it.
I am happy, feel wonderful and would do this again in a heartbeat. It was one of the best choices of my life. Thank you for everyone that has shown and given me their support. I appreciate it very much.
