I went to the Dr. on the 18th and they scheduled my surgery for the 19th!  How cool is that?  No liquid diet...Well for one day!  The surgery was scheduled for 3:30 but didn't happen till 9:30.  The poor guy in front of me had lots of complications.  I sure wish I knew how he was.  Anyway, I woke up in my room about midnight.  Promptly needed a restroom visit.  My husband stayed awake all night watching me sleep and making sure the nurses came in to give me pain meds every two hours.  Everyone at Vista was wonderful.  In the morning, I began walking each hour without being told.  By 2:30 that afternoon, I was at home!  Truly, I've been blessed with no complications yet and I'm 17 days out!  The one thing about this that I didn't expect was to still be hungry!  I'm not really now, but Friday after surgery, I felt starved!
