Hi all my name is Kimberly, I have been at this weight loss thing since right after high school. I tried about 5 years ago to get an approval from my insurance company at the time for Gastric Bypass, I was denied. It was sad for me and I gained an additional 10 pounds after that. But I am getting ahead of myself, let me start from the beginning.

When I graduated high school in 1996 ::ouch:: I weigh 126 pounds, here it is over ten years later and I am 298 pounds ::double ouch::

In high school I was thin, beautiful and very stuck on myself,, I've always said that while I hate the weight I have gained, part of me knows it is what humbled me over the years and made me the kind person I have become.

I slowly started to gain my weight over the years. About 5 years ago I was at my highest, when I went into my first surgeon appointment my weight was 342 pounds. Over the years I had lost and gained and always hovered right around 270 to 310. Then two years ago I hired a personal trainer, joined Jenny Craig and lost 100 pounds. YES! I saw the 240's and OH what a feeling.

I’m September 2007 just before my 30th birthday, I met Jay, the love of my life. We fell in love quickly, moved in together quickly and quickly become eating buddies. He of course has a great build and all though over the past year he too has put on some weight, it’s nothing in comparison to me. He gained 10 maybe 15 pounds...I gained 60.

So here I am back to the place I always seem to land, the 290's. So I am with a new company, new insurance and the Gastric Bypass is covered.

I am going into this one much more prepared. I called the insurance company and found out my requirements, I have spent a LOT of time thinking about all the Pro's & Con's, making sure I have a support system in place.

So here I go again.......
