Last night, my hubby and I went by the hospital and Kathy only snored at us, but Rob said she had been awake and learned to use her morphine pump.
At lunch today, I went back to the hospital. Kathy had just returned from her second walk and was getting settled back in her bed. She was just lovely with her hospital gown, spongebob slipper sox and all her attached tubes. I was informed it's not fun. She was experiencing a bit of pain, so had a dose of morphine, and was sound asleep within 10 min.
The cathater was removed this morning. And,she is getting her 30 cc's of water to drink an hour. Dr.Lucktong OK'd her getting chicken broth this afternoon. Her mom was with her so Rob could get a nap. He'll be returning later this evening.
Her Dr. has said that if she continues to get on so well, he may release her tomorrow evening, instead of waiting until Saturday.
