I was born and raised in Michigan to a split and rearranged family.  I have 4 parents, who I love so much and whos' support I couldn't possibly do without.  I grew up swimming, jet skiing, playing piano, dancing and playing with my cousins.  My family has made me who I am,  my cousins are like my siblings, my Yiayia and Ghidie (grandma and grandpa) at the head.  My step dad has been immeserably important to me, he was probably the first person to teach me how to laugh, and to be truly proud of who I am.  My mom my best and truest friend.  Always understanding me and my wild and sometimes confusing ways.  My father and step mom always trying their hardest to make me strive for excellence.  All of them love me in their own ways and I love them each differently.

I have had the same best friend since I was 6 years old, we grew up together, roomed in college together and then she went and up and married a navy man and moved away :(.  We were always going to be old ladies with cats sitting on a front porch together.  She is one of my soul mates.

I met my other soul mate when I was 13.  I had just lost one of my very good friends to cancer and was facing some very difficult feelings pretty much on my own.  Shawn helped me get out of all of that.  The boy and I grew up together, we know each other like our own hands.  He is an amazing man, he takes good care of me, loves me with all of his being and supports me even when we don't agree.  He is not a man without faults but he is a man who knows and accepts them and always strives to be better.  We've had our ups and downs but have always come through everything together more strongly bound to each other.  I will never ever love another the way I love him.

I went to college to get a degree in History and Language arts education, in Michigan it seems that was a big mistake.  However, I love teaching younger kids, I love reading, writing and learning!  Someday I will go back to school and increase my education to include preschoolers.

I have an amazing puppy, he is fluffy and cuddly and pretty much makes my day with the way he behaves :)

I was always a generally happy playful girl, always active.  I developed early, all lanky and curves.  Then suddenly around the age of 13 (the same time my friend died and Shawn and I started our relationship) I started gaining weight.  Puberty had hit, along with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.  As the years passed, I just kept gaining and gaining, a pound here and a pound there.  The most I weighed was in May of 2010, I made it up to 295lbs, I was in the middle of a serious flare up of my anxiety disorder, lost my job, had just purchased my first home, my marriage was having difficulties.  I managed to pull it together but I had to start treatment for my previously untreated anxiety.

Shawn and I have been married for 2 years, we've been together for almost 12, we both desperately want children but my weight and PCOS have made that currently not possible.  I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes as well.  This surgery will hopefully cure both problems.  I can't wait for whatever the future holds for me.
