"I saw Dr. Slotman on May 28th, 2004. My first impression with the office and staff was GREAT! The ladies are so nice. I watched the 15 minute film, and then waited about an hour in the exam room. Dr. Slotman seemed very experienced with the procedure, and even though he only performs the surgery OPEN now (LAP had too many problems) that was fine because due to previous surgeries that's the way I would need to go anyway. He gave me a list of doctors/tests I need to have before I can be scheduled for surgery including my oncologists, a pulmonologist, cardiologist, and the upper GI. I recommend that you schedule your appointments for these clearences AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because the waiting times are MONTHS in the future. AND if you are lucky enough (like me) to have the kind of insurance that allows you to choose from many different specialists, call around! The first pulmonolgist office I called didn't have an opening until SEPT! That was 4 months away! The second one had an opening in 2 weeks...BIG DIFFERENCE! "
