Hi Jason, I was just checking on who, besides myself, was having surgery this month when I realized yours is today. I wanted to wish you well and tell you that you are in my thoughts and prayers for an uncomplicated surgery and a speedy recovery. Tomorrow, when you join the loosing side, would you save a place for me in the losers club? I am scheduled to join the club on July 23, 2004. See ya on the other side. Susan Taylor

Hi Jason! I'll be thinking about you on the 9th while I am having my lap band surgery. I'm so excited for you and me. You and I will share a special day. Good luck and let me know how it went. My surgery is in an outpatient facility in Dalton, Georgia. I will be in a hotel the night before and after along with my mom and my 2 little boys (ages 1 & 3). Are you ready? I guess I am. It all feels surreal at this point. Let's keep in touch. Your band sister, Laura

Hi Jason, I'd say don't be nervous but heck, I was nervous. Of course it was all for nothing because my surgery went just fine. For me, the week before surgery was harder than the week after just because of those pesky nerves. Right after surgery I had soreness galore but no terrible pain. Nothing that you can't handle. Remember to keep it positive. That means only positive/supportive people around you. The negative ones are just ill-informed. I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true!

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I pray that all goes well and you have great success as you begin this new journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions - excited, nervous, scared, ..... Tanke the next few days to center yourself, keep yourself busy and your mind focused on other things. You will find that your day is here in no time and you will be much more calm and ready for your big day. Best wishes and we will be here to welcome you to the losing side.
