Hello Everyone!
My name is Jesus. I'm 27 years old and I had weight loss surgery on 2/7/06. I had the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass procedure perfomed. It has been one of the best decisions I could have ever made for myself. I'm very excited about my 1yr anniversary coming up! I have been visiting this site since but for some reason I never created a profile until now. I'm really excited about this. I hope to meet and possibly help some great people.
When I started this journey I was over 300lbs! 305lbs to be exact. I'm down to 192lbs and I'm almost eleven months post-op. Total of 113lbs gone! I want to reach my first goal of 185lbs by my 1yr anniversary (2/7/07) that's 7lbs away and I would love to reach my second goal of 170lbs by summer time. I'm allowing myself plenty of time and I'm trying to be reasonable considering I wan't very reasonable in the very beginning of this weight loss process. My first goal weight was 155lbs!! HA! even the doctors told me I was being unreasonable...lol I now understand where they were coming from. I mean, even at 192lbs I feel great and it isn't all that bad being at this weight. I feel "healthy" :-)
I don't know what else to say (or type rather) at this point. I'm just very grateful and very happy to be alive and have my health back. If I had to do it all over again, I would! In a heart beat.
Now time for me to go and figure out how to use all the other features to this....
