I will still attempt to update this site but for my purposes, this site seemed much easier!!!

I can't believe in less than two weeks I will be having my surgery!  It sure has come quick.  I credit that to all the visiting I've been doing.  My Aunt Sally came in from Boston the same day we came back from Florida.  We've had such a good time!  I spent the weekend at moms and we played cards and did our hair.  Drank a couple bottles of champagne just for good measure .  We all went bowling yesterday.  Man it was fun. Goerge, my boss, and his wife came and even Joey went too.  Tanner actually beat Joey the last game   .  I love when we do fun things like that.  I think I did pretty good.  Sure gives you a good workout.  

Guess this is crunch time.  Gotta start getting things together for next weekend.  I really hope I don't have any problems.  I want to get moving asap.  I've had all the nighmares and cold feet I ever want to deal with.  I just keep telling myself this will all be worth it!  

Back from a nice trip to Florida.  It was much warmer there than here in North Carolina .  Tanner of course had a great time!

So I had my last appointment with Dr. Moran yesterday.    Well the last one before my surgery.  Nothing I didn't already know.  I just don't have a lot of questions for him because I have learned so much from these websites.  I had actually lost 2 pounds and he said I'd still better weigh 220 or less when I come back for surgery which meant no pigging out.  Kinda sucks.

The most interesting thing I learned while I was there was that I do have a moderate case of Sleep Apnea    I couldn't believe it!  I also have that Restless leg syndrome which I knew already.  They want me to do ANOTHER sleep study with that stupid mask thing but I will have to wait until after surgery for that.  I just don't have anymore time to spare.

I got all my vitamins and also bought one of those "bullet" blender machines to make drinks and shakes.  I hope it works good.

Off to work for now!!!  

Here I am.  Back at work.  I had my sleep study last night and man am I tired! .  I wouldn't wish anyone to have one of those done!  I had wires coming from everywhere and the worse part was that I couldn't sleep on my stomach so needless to say between trying to remember not to flip on my stomach and all those electrodes coming out of my head, stomach, legs, nose, etc, the sleep was pretty sparse.  I know I will run out of steam by lunch.  I guess we can say, at least its overwith !  I also was able to get my blood-gas test done.  DID NOT FEEL GOOD!    Took a few stabs to find everything.  So now I just have one last appointment which is tomorrow, unless we can manage to find something else I need to do.  I am so ready to get away fro a few days!

Before I forget, I'd like to give a shout out to Marcia!  

Tanner has kindergarten screening today so thank GOD I am taking 1/2 day off.  Hope I make it till then! 

Almost there almost there!  

Well today is the follow-up w/the pulminary Dr.  Hope its a brief one.  I am getting tired of driving to Raleigh.  It takes about 40 minutes and I am not much on city driving.  I just keep telling myself its all worth it.  

Mom, Tanner and I are leaving for Florida one week from tomorrow to see her parents.  It will be nice to get away for a few days and do something different.  We haven't told anyone there about this adventure and it's probably best not to till afterwards.  We come back Easter Monday and my Aunt form Boston will be flying in to visit for a week.  I'm glad she is coming before surgery so we can have fun.  April will be here and gone before I know it.

We are working outside in the evenings now that the days are longer.  Joey is leveling the yard up and we moved the round pen to its permanent home finally.  I'm telling you if you ever needed some rocks you need to come to my house.  I have all you need.  Tanner and I picked up rocks in the round pen and made piles so the horses won't bruise their feet when they are working.  Its rediculous the # of rocks we have. SO if you need some let me know.  Got every shape and size you need.

Okay the eating update.  Still nothing I'm proud enought to report.  I will state that I have satisfied any deisre for brownies and by the end of the week cheesecake will be behind me.  Don't judge me, You know if you were having this done you'd do the same thing...lol

Well, Monday again.  Kinda tired today.  We held our annual yard sale here at the office Satruday and I guess we did pretty good.  I was so tired afterwards.  Yesterday we stayed outside most of the day so Tanner and her friend Madison could play in this huge dirt pile Joey has made.  They were SO dirty!  I got burned on my legs so they are stinging this morning but hey, red is better than pasty white any day.  Either my alarm didn't go off this morning or I turned it off in my sleep.  Either way I got up late and was making a mad dash to get dressed and of course couldn't find a thing to wear.  It has started warming up here and I have nothing but winter stuff that I can actually wear.  Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of warm weather clothes, I just can't get my fat self in them.  

This week I have my follow-up appointment with the Pulminary Dr and next Tuesday I have my Stress test.  I have a tentative surgery date for April 26th!! WOW can you believe it??  Very excited but kinda scared (of course).  I think that is all normal.  Can't believe I made it this far.  It will certainly be here before you know it!

I have kinda blown the food tracking thing but gonna try and start that  again...... (maybe I just choose to forget all the junk I eat)

Well today I had my Barium milkshake.  NASTY stuff.  I wasn't too bad though.  Got to watch Regis and Kelly for awhile since I had to wait between my ultrasound and x-rays.  I wish I could've watched the screen when I swallowed the barium.  I think it would be neat.  Now I just need that cardiologist appointment.

Being new to this I need to give a little background.  I have a husband Joey, who I LOVE and my daughter Tanner.  Precious Tanner decided to cut her hair yesterday.  Yes...chunks......I thought I would loose it.  She had pretty blond long hair and she just decided it was in her face and chopped the sides while she was suppose to be taking a nap. I know kids will be kids but we are suppose to go to Florida in two weeks to see family and won't that look real nice.

Joey my husband will be 40 this May.  I hope to do something special for him.  We have been married for 8 years this June. Although he wouldn't believe if I told him (and yes I have) I'm glad I married him.  Sometimes his wise cracks and comments get on my nerves but surprisingly he hasn't had any negative comments about me having surgery.  I thought he'd tell me I couldn't do it (which means I'd do it that much more) but he didn't.  He worries like every other spouse that I will loose weight and leave him.  I have no intention of that.  I'd like for Joey to "look" at me again.  You all know what I mean.  Anyway it will be interesting to see how it all goes.

Finally, I have my mom.  She is my rock.  She has been my support through all this.  She knows that I have tried every which way to loose this weight and although she was skeptical at first, she is now very excited.

So I think that brings us up to date.    Oh guess I need to start tracking my food.  Yeah, yeah I know...not being strict yet but hey..I did give up cokes

Just starting this bloggin thing but I think it will be helpful to keep track of everything happening.  To date I have received insurance approval for surgery.  I am scheduled to have my Upper GI test and chest x-ray done tomorrow.  That only leaves me with having to see the cardiologist and follow-up with the pulminary Dr.  I would have never thought I'd actually get to this point.  I tend to get excited about things only to be let down, but not this time!!
